I drove my car back to the house and the drive seemed to take hours, but in reality, it was only ten minutes. I have no idea what huge secret they're hiding from me. What's the absolute worst that can happen? I tried not to overthink too much because I would find out the truth the minute I got home. I pulled up to the house and turned the car off. I walked up to the front door and took a deep breath. It can't be that big of a secret. They're just overreacting.

"Hey. I'm home." I announced as I walked in the door. I knew dad was home because I saw his car in the garage.

"Hey, Brooke. Wanna take a seat?" My dad asks from the living room where he is sitting on the couch. He doesn't look super happy about this conversation. Was he ever even gonna tell me the truth if I didn't find something out through Dax and Ty's fight? I walked over to him and sat in the loveseat across from the couch.

"So, are you gonna tell me something?" I ask. He looks very serious right now, and from the past almost two weeks, I haven't seen him that serious yet. "Dad, what's going on?"

"Our family business isn't exactly a car dealership. I mean, it is, but there's also more to it." He paused.

"Keep going. I'm at the edge of my seat. I have no patience." Why does he have to build up the suspense. Fucking tell me already.

"I don't exactly know where to start. It's a long story. Basically, we're a part of a group that deals with illegal sales of cars, street racing, illegal car part sales, stolen car sales, and so much more. By we, I mean myself, Ty, Liv, Damien and Cam."

"Cam?" I gasp. Okay why did I not expect him to be apart of this he's literally suspicious as fuck.

"Yeah. Cam too. Obviously, there's more, but those are the inner circle. The gang spreads out nationwide, but the inner circle runs everything. Well technically Cam isn't fully inside the inner circle yet. He's still young and has a lot to learn. He doesn't know much about the other gang yet."

"Gang? You said group. What type of illegal shit is happening in this town?"

"Let me break it down for you. Our gang is called the bloodhounds. Like I said, we deal with all types of car shit. Everyone in our gang has a code name. For example, I'm the Greyhound. They call me this because I'm the fastest driver. I'm the fastest at securing deals and doing business. Are you following?"

"Uh, yeah?" No the fuck I'm not. They're in a damn gang. Who else is a part of this?

"Good. Tyson is the Great Dane, Liv is the Rottweiler and Damien is the Bulldog. Tyson is really good at driving, so he sticks with driving in some of the races a lot of the time. Liv does an impeccable job of stealing cars, so she sticks with that route, but she's also an amazing driver, especially at street races. Damien, of course, is very strong and that man knows how to fight. He's the muscles most of the time. No one besides the inner gang knows our real names. We try to fly under the radar, for obvious reasons. If our actual identities get out, I don't want to even think about what could happen to us."

"Isn't this all like... extremely illegal? How have the cops not found out about anything?"

"Brooke, we run this town. The police listen to us; they're terrified of The Greyhound and... The Cobra."

"The cobra?"

"Yeah. The cobra is the leader of the second gang in this town. The Silver Snakes. I don't know his real name, but from what I assume, he's a college student at University of Hooverville. Only Tyson, Liv, Damien and myself know what he looks like, and we don't even completely know that. Whenever we meet together, he keeps a hoodie over his head and sunglasses over his eyes. I, of course, try my best to hide my identity as well, but I do believe he beats me in the confidentiality department. I'd have to be very close to him to truly identify him."
