I blare the horn of my car. once. Twice. Thrice.
Beep.. Beeep.. BEEEEEEPPPPP..

Gina, our house help runs to open the parking gate as I leave the clutch and press the accelerator driving past the two other parked cars in frustration and parking my Wrangler 2018. I turn the ignition off and get out slamming the door shut. My dad sat in the gazebo, on his white lawn chair, as he looks up from his newspaper.

"Someone seems happy." His Sarcastic voice says his eyes looking up, with his spectacles placed on the rim of his nose.

"Thanks dad." I say picking up the cup of his evening tea and taking a sip. And as soon as it hits my taste buds, I open my mouth and spit it on the grass below.
"What the fûck ?" I retort.

"You said that I need to decrease my sugar intake." He said taking a bite of the supersweet blueberry muffin from his favourite bakery, kept nearby and took the cup from me, taking a sip.
This 67 year old retired police officer, who is my father has no respect for his senile age body.

"You missed the point." I said pointing to the dessert.

"How was this one?" He says changing the topic.
It's fine, his monthly blood glucose is due to be tested next week. I'll talk about this then.

"Asshole." I say and regret the next moment as my mom comes in with a tray of two cups, one her green tea and the other my coffee.

"Sammy, Girls from good families don't use that language.." she says scolding me as I pick up my coffee.
"Geez,Mom. He was a.. Weird guy.."
"He is my friends nephew, and he's doing his MD in skin and VD, he'll be a dermatologist soon." She says bragging as dad folds the newspaper keeping it aside.
My dad reads three newspaper in a day, all at different tea times, one at dawn, then after breakfast and then like now in the evening.

"What's wrong with this one ?" Dad asks
"Firstly, he was rude to the waiters, Valet etc. " I say as dad smiles. There is something about people not treating the ones on lower positions nicely that puts me off. I get that from my father. He taught me to respect the person and not the position.

"What is so amusing?" I retort at his smile.
"You are getting good at this." He says
"Rejecting boys?" I speak a little pissed. It's been 8 months since they started looking for a match for me and I've met around.. 18 boys.. I guess.. honestly I lost count after that.

"So, you rejected a boy becoz he was rude to the help? " Mom says looking up at me then back at Gina. Oh yes, I rudely honked for her to open the gate. I turn back to look where she was watering the plants.

"Sorry, Gina.. Just having a bad day. I'll make it up by baking those cookies you love, tomorrow." I say and smile at her.

"It's okay, Mam." Gina, our 27 year old house help who lives at our house with his husband says and smiles back as I turn to look at Mom.
