Lily's POV

I watched as he wiped a tear away. I felt.... sad for him? No. Horrbile. I felt a hole in my chest that was reserved for his pain. He faced away from me and looked out of the window. " I t-thought that your adoptive parents-" 

" don't call them that," he said coldly. I gulped.

" Well. I thought that THEY were going on a trip far away and they would be gone for many months," I said quietly. He sighed. " No. I came up with that. I was going to say that they died on that trip," He said. I nodded slowly. I slowly walked over to him. He looked shameful. This poor kid. 

" I'm glad their fucking DEAD," 

The words came out of him with pure hatred. I looked at him, wide eyed. I noticed a small red tint in his eye. He then shook his head and it vanished. He looked at me. " Lily. I was born to kill. You can't help me," He said. " How did you know I was going to say th-" " because I know you Lily," He cut me off. " You don't know Toby. I can help you. Just give me the chance," I said calmly. " No Lily," He growled, walking over to the entrance. " Why not Toby?" I asked, feeling braver. " Because the last time someone tried to help me, they ended up on my ceiling," He said, his voice cracking. I saw tears fall to the floor. 

" I'm not her Toby," I said quietly. 

 He faced me and I ended up on the wall with his one of his hands on either side of my head. " I know you aren't," he said. " So why are you acting like this!?" I asked annoyed. He sighed and dropped his hands. " Because Lily. You are the most important thing in my life and I can't lose you to one of my mistakes! I... Just.... Can't," He said, starting to panic. His breathing picked up and his eyes went wide. " Toby," I said. " I can't lose you," he whispered. " Toby," I said again, raising my voice a little more. " No.. Not again.. No.." He said, tears filling his eyes. " TOBY!" I screamed. " No... Losing you.... No... No.." he whimpered. I sighed and made up my mind. In one swift moment, my lips were on his. 

I pulled back, my hands on his shoulders. He stared at me. " Toby," I said. I got his attention. " Shut up. Listen," I said. " Why," He trailed off. " So you would fucking listen," I joked. He nodded. " You are not going to hurt me Toby. We both will be okay," I said. He nodded. " Okay?" I said once more, making sure he got it. He nodded once more. I sighed. " Go to sleep ( Jeff The killer anyone? Eh Eh? Okay I'll shut up now) and calm down," I said. He looked into my eyes. " Lily..." he said. I waited for him to talk. " Y-You..." He stuttered. " Kissed me," he said quietly. I nodded, blushing a small amount. " Sleep," I said. 

" I need to get you h-"

" I can manage Toby," I cut him off.

 He sighed. " Fine," he said. I nodded. " goodnight Toby," I said walking to the door. I paused and looked back at him. I quickly walked over and kissed his cheek, then walked out. I then started my cold lonely walk back home...

HEH. Didn't see that coming did... no... you did? Ah. Understood. I'm sorry for my absence! School started and I haven't had much time to write. Seriously though. Thank you guys for reading this. It means a lot to me. Having someone looking at my crappy stories. Stuff has been crazy in this last year and writing has been a way for me to escape reality. I love you all so much.
