Lily's POV

I hesitated when I made it back to my apartment door. I would go somewhere else if I could. I don't want to stay here anymore. I sighed and slowly walked in. Mom was sitting on the couch. " There you are," She said darkly. " I don't want to hear it," I said, walking to my room. " Well you need to Lily!" Mom yelled, standing. I faced her. I then noticed the empty beer bottles on the coffee table. " I-I thought you stopped," I whispered. She looked away from me. " When you have a daughter who runs around with a fucking killer doing god knows what, you'll do the same," She said. I was walking to my door when I felt a cold bony hand on my wrist. I looked back at her. 

" I'm not done," She said. " Well I am," I said and ripped my arm from her tight grasp. I ran into my room and locked the door. She pounded on it harder and harder. I walked over to my bed and sat down. I stared out of the window. I laid down, huddling in a ball. I closed my eyes and tried to drift off to sleep.

I got a call today from someone I haven't talked to in years. She kicked me out of the house and took my baby girl from me. She framed me for sleeping with another woman. I almost hung up on her but she started talking about her. My daughter. My baby. I threw some dumb items into a bag, grabbed my car keys, and zoomed into a city I haven't visited in years. 

Toby's POV

I woke up to the sun coming up through the few hills that we had. I got dressed and stared out of the little window I had while eating a granola bar. I noticed a few cars going onto the freeway with luggage with them. My guess is that they're moving away. Because of you. You killed innocent people you MONSTER! I groaned. The voice in my head keeps getting louder and louder each day. I closed my eyes and leaned my head against the windowsill. I then noticed a car that was coming... into town. It was a deep red jeep. They were driving quickly like they were in a rush. I decided I would follow. I have nothing better to do. 

Lily's POV

I guess I did fall asleep last night because I woke up to a panicked voice. " No you called me, I didn't call you," I heard a sad voice. " You must be wrong," my mother's voice said. I opened my door a little and peered out. My eyes widened. " Get out Joe. Go find that lady you moved out with," She said coldly. The man crossed his arms and he scoffed. " YOU set her up with ME. I despise her. She left after a few days. I just came here to see my daughter," The man said coldly. I grabbed my black leather jacket and pure. I also put on my black combat boots. I opened my door wider and walked out. " Mom... what are you doing? Let him in," I said. She glared at me. " He left Lily. You were there," She said. I crossed my arms. " Save it bitch. Let's go dad," I said and walked over to him. 

" LILY!" I heard her call after me. I grabbed my father's hand and we walked. " How have you been?" I asked quietly as we exited the building. He suddenly hugged me tightly. I rubbed his back. " I'm so sorry. I should of taken you away from her sooner," My dad said quietly. " Don't worry dad. I forgive you," I said. I felt him smile. I grabbed his hand and we walked and talked. I heard a few leaves crunch behind me. I knew who it was. I turned a little and saw Toby in a tree watching. I winked and kept moving with my father. 

Toby's POV

I smiled weakly as Sophie walked with this man. Listening in on their conversation I think that this is her father. They walked into a coffee shop. I would go here with Lily all of the time. They ordered and walked to a table for two. I wanted to listen in and make sure Lily would be fine but I need to stop being so protective. I sighed and walked away. 

Lily's POV

I smiled. I have missed my dad. My name was called and I got up to get our drinks. Suddenly there was a shout and a man ran out with my purse. I was worried at first and then remembered I have a murderous friend who watched me 24-7. I thanked the lady and the front and placed the drinks in front of my dad. " he took your purse," He said. I smiled. " I know. Give it..." I stopped and used my fingers to count down from three. There was a shout and then Toby walked into the store holding my bag. " And here he is," I said and walked over. He had a black hoodie and it covered his face. I did notice the spot of red on his cheek. I recognized it as blood and I know that it isn't his own. I smiled. " Thank you," I said and held my bag. He kissed my cheek and ran off. 

I walked back over to my dad. " Who is he?" He asked. I smiled wider. " I'll tell you later," I said. I sipped from my Apple Cider as my dad told me what happened to him these past years. " I'm sorry dad. I wish I could have helped," I said sadly. " No it's fine. I held on because you were still here," He said softly. I grinned. " Thanks pops," I said. He shrugged. " Thank you," He said. I took a sip from my Cider. " So who was he?" My father asked. I giggled. " He is a friend. I've known him for 5 years," I said. He nodded. " Do you like him?" he asked. I blushed a little and moved a hair out of my face. " He is important in my life," I said. He nodded once more. We finished up and left. 

We walked down the sidewalk holding hands. I smiled. " I'm glad my mom called you. Even though she was drunk as hell," I said. He chuckled. " I'm glad too," He said. I sighed. " I tried so hard dad. I wanted to help her. Maybe get her into rehab. But I don't feel safe there anymore," I said. I looked at my father. " I know. I was planning on getting a hotel room. Would you like to join?" He asked. I nodded. " Thank you father," I said. " Anytime kiddo," He said.

OOOOOOOOOOOOF! CAN I GET AN F IN THE CHAT!! I AM SOOOOOO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING. I had a few tests to study for for school and projects that were important for my grades. They have a strange school schedule. So far I have all A's so yay! Anyways I am still so sorry for not updating! I promise I will try to get more out soon. Maybe the next chapter will just be my drawings of the characters so you get an idea of what they look like. I dunno. Plus, I need to get to bed. Everyone in my house is sleeping. It's only 10:31 P.M. Alright I love you guys! Bye!! BTW sorry that it's short.
