CHAPTER 22: Flashbacks
Austin's POV:
School was over. Finally. "Heyy, uh, Ali!" I yelled out for her.
She turned around, looking as beautiful as always. My heart skipped a beat. Allison is a childhood friend, we've known each other when we were just babies.
My mom and her mom were bestfriends, so either her and her mom always came over to our place, or me and my mom would go to her place.
Either way, we spent a lot of time with each other. When I was 10, we had to move.
It broke my heart to be far away from my lovely Ali. We had to go to America. Well, okay. Let me tell you this.
By the time, I was around 5, as weird as it is, I've already realized I had feelings for this girl.
I'm 15 now, and I still feel the same way about her. Last time I saw her, she really hated herself. She constantly complained to me about how all the other boys at school were calling her ugly.
I would usually get really mad about that and beat them all up.
Well, there was this one time, when these group of boys called Ali something really harsh. I still haven't forgotten about it, since I got really mad that time.
Okay, flashback.
"Allison!" a group of boys from behind called. Ali turned around. She was right beside me, and I could feel her tensing up when she realized who had called her.
I reached out and grabbed for her hand. "Whatever they'll say, just ignore it. They speak lies." I whispered to her as I squeezed her hand. She nodded and took a deep breath. "What is it?" she asked, forcing a smile.
"You're a fag, aha! Oh hey, Mahone! You know you can do better than her! She's a disgrace to humanity. Look at her, she doesn't even look like a girl. She's so ugly and lots of other girls here are way better. She's just a b---"
Around that time, I already ran to the guy and gave him a good black eye. I punched him on his cheeks. Right cheek, left cheek, right cheek, left cheek. Alternate. I kept hitting him until he was on the ground.
People around us we're already yelling 'FIght! Fight! Fight!'. "Stop, Austin!" I heard Allison yell from the crowd. I ignored her and turned to the guy who already had lots of bruises on his face.
"You know what I said is true, Mahone." the guy said. How can he still be a jerk, when I've already punched him lots of times? "Just stop, Austin. You don't have to beat him up. What he said was true. I know it's true. Sometimes I wonder why you hang out with me too---" I heard Allison telling me.
"No, Allison. What this fag said isn't true. None of it is." I held the guy by his collar, and got all in his face, to intimidate him.
"Listen here and listen good. Allison is the best girl in the world. None of you fags can see that because you guys judge too much. You haven't even gotten to know her. She's the sweetest, prettiest and most awesome girl I've ever gotten to know. And believe me when I say this because I've known her since birth. She's very beautiful. The most beautiful girl here in school. Fags like you are just too blind to see her beauty. I mean look at her, isn't she just adorable? If anything, I'm the one who doesn't deserve her. I have lots of flaws and I don't know how she manages to keep up with me. Like right now, I'm beating you up and she pretended not to care, since she doesn't want anyone to get hurt, if she argued back. That's how much of an angel she is. But you guys don't know that before she goes to sleep, she cries her eyes out, thinking that no one likes her. She thinks that she is the most stupid girl in the world. And you know what monster put that thought in her head? That's right, all of you here. All of you who bullied her. Look in a mirror before you judge others, stupid."
