ADRIANS POV

"Oh yeah, that would be a good idea. Well I guess goodnight then." Adrian turned toward the door to the boys dormitory.

"Goodnight." Marinette said quietly behind him. Adrian turned around and gave her a soft smile and then he head for the door.

Once he got back to the dormitory the lights were out and everyone had gone to bed. So, Adrian crept over to his trunk and got ready for bed as silently as he could and then got into his own bed.

That night he didn't sleep well. Not because of nightmares but because his mind was racing with thoughts about what Plagg had told him. 'Am I really suppose to be the beholder of the wand.' This was one question that rang over and over in Adrians head. When the sun had come up the next morning Adrian was already out of bed and dress for the day.

"Dude, did you even sleep last night." Nino said while rubbing his eyes.

"Nope, to much to think about. First day at Hogwarts, plus I had to figure out how I am going to tell my father that I broke the super old family tradition and the family legacy. And now he can't brag to all his super fancy friends. That's going to be a real soul crusher for him." Adrian said in an oddly cheerful voice. Then he walked out the dormitory and all the to the portrait hole and walked through it not even looking back to see if anyone was in the common room.

He had to get to the owlery before breakfast. He didn't want to miss his first breakfast at Hogwarts plus today was when he found out his schedule. So he rushed through the Castle trying to find the owlery. 'They really should give the first years a map' Adrian thought. But after a couple more minutes of searching he found it and he walked all the way to the top.

Once he got there he pulled out his parchment and quill and started to jot down his letter. He knew he wanted to make is short and snippy because he knew if he put anything more in the letter his father probably wouldn't read it. So he did even bother telling him that he made some friends.

Dear Father,
I am writing to you because I thought you would want to know what house I got into. Well I got into Gryffindor.
Sincerely,
Adrian

Then Adrian rolled up the parchment and tied it to a school owl. "Please take this to Gabriel Agrest." Adrian gave the owl a little brush in the cheek and then it flew away. He stood there for a second taking in what he had just done and then he turned around and went down the steps. 'Well I'm dead.' Was all he thought as he walked to the Great hall.

Adrian saw Nino sitting across from Alya and Marinette. They were all laugh and smiling. It made Adrian smile, he felt as though he had a true home again.

"Hey guys whatcha talking about." Adrian sat next to Nino and across from Marinette. Who looked happy but could see the small bags under her eyes. 'She must have been up late last night.' Adrian though, he was also a little worried for her. She seemed a little different than yesterday but she didn't seem scared or anything so Adrian didn't ask.

"Oh just how Marinette fell down the stairs this morning." Alya smiled and so did Marinette. "I found her in the common room couch sitting there."

"Are you okay?" Adrian leaned a little closer to Marinette.

"Yeah I am fine." Marinette's face turned a slight pink, Adrian thought because the room was a little hot.He gave no mind to it. "But where have you been. Nino said you had something to do." Marinette asked him.

"Oh I went to the owlery. I had to send a letter to my dad. We will see how that goes over." Adrian smiled a little but he could tell that Marinette didn't buy it for a second. "Um, anyways have any of you gotten your schedules yet?" Adrian ask and everyone shook there heads no.

"Nope, but Professor Bustier say she is going to hand them out soon." Nino chimed in.

"I hope we get potions first, I heard that the teacher is really cool."Alya said excitedly, Adrian had never been any good with potions. He sometimes helped his mom make them but he would always end up ruining them. But he was only 7 at the time so he thought maybe it would be different now.

"I don't know what class I am looking forward too. I have never even thought any of these class would be scientifically possible." Marinette said while throwing her hands in the air sending her spoon flying hitting a Adrian in the face.

"Oh no!" Marinette gasped. "Oh Adrian I am so sorry, it just fl-" But before Marinette could finish what she was saying Adrian quickly jumped in.

"Marinette I am fine it was an accident. No need to make a big fuss about it." Adrian smiled and winced a little because off the sore spot on his temple. Marinette gave a very weary smile. Then once Nino and Alya knew it was okay they bursted out laughing. And soon after so did Adrian, though Marinette was a little more hesitant to laugh but eventually joined in.

"Well I am glad to see that you are enjoying your firsts days." A tall women with fiery red hair stood right behind Marinette. She had large blue eyes that looked like they could Pierce your soul. "I am Professor Bustier. Here are your schedules." Then she handed each of the four a small price of parchment. Then she walked to the next group of students. Her heels clicking as she left.

"Yes! We got potions first with the Ravenclaws!"Alya pumped her fist in the air. And then Adrian looked at the pe or of paper. After Potions was Defense Against the Dark Arts with.... the Slytherins. Adrian had nothing against the Slythrins. He actually admired them and how cunning they are. Though the one person who he desperately wanted to stay away from was a slytherin, Chloé.
