MARINETTE'S POV
Marinette had stayed up all night talking to Tikki about what all this wand thing meant. Finally at 6 in the morning she went back up to the dorm to get dress and then decided to go back down to wait in the common room. Apparently, she dozed off because the next thing she knew, Alya was there shaking her awake.
"Marinette! You okay?" Marinette opened her eyes wide and shook her head yes, she wasn't real able to talk at the moment. "Good, you didn't come back to bed last night and I got worried. What happened to you last night?" Marinette need to think of an excuse and fast.
"Um.. I did go back to bed but you were all asleep." Marinette said quickly. Alya narrowed her eyes.
"Then why weren't you in bed this morning?" Alya leaned in closer to Marinette.
"I couldn't sleep last night and just decided to get dress early and go for an early morning stroll and when I went to go wait for you in the dorm, I fell down the stairs. So that's why I am here." At least Marinette was telling somewhat of the truth. She didn't sleep last night. Alya backed away slowly.
"Makes since." Alya shrugged. "So you want to get some breakfast?" Marinette nodded eagerly and followed Alya to breakfast. They sat down at the Gryffindor table and talked about what they where excited for and then Nino joined them.
The three talked about all kinds of stuff including the Adrian, which Marinette was a little to interested in this topic. Then Adrian came joined them.
Once he joined they talked about classes and which classe was there favorite. Though Marinette still has no idea what these classes where and when she got her schedule she truly was clueless. Plus she hit Adrian in the face with a spoon. She really hoped that it wouldn't leave a mark.
"Yes! We got potions first with the Ravenclaws." Alya and Nino celebrate with the news of having potions. Mean while Marinette saw Adrians look of disgust. 'What's that about' Marinette wondered.
"And we have Defensive Against the Dark Arts after." Nino faced had a huge grin plastered on it.
"But look who we have it with." Alya said disgusted. Marinette still didn't know what her problem was with slytherins. It wasn't like they we all evil pure bloods, whatever pure bloods meant.
"I don't get it. Why don't we want to have class with the Slytherins?" Marinette was so confused about everything in this world and the thoughts of last night kept popping into her head.
"Their cruel. Anyone whose in that house is only loyal to themselves." Alya crossed her arms and looked down at her food, not taking a bite. Just moving food around. Marinette knew that the subject was a sensitive one.
After that, the rest of breakfast was fairly quite but by the time potions rolled around Alya was back to normal. The first potions class was very interesting for Marinette.
The first thing Marinette notice when she walked into the class room was the wall full of different creatures in bottles. Some glowing and some just floating in green liquid. Then her eyes drifted over to the 6'5ft man standing at the foot of the class room.
"That's the teacher!" Marinette whispered to Alya, who was till focused on the wall of jars.
"Yup, Mr. Stone." A voice whispered behind her. Marinette turned her head and there was Adrian with a small grin on his face. "My father and him are friends." Marinette gave a small nodded and turned back around to face Mr. Stone. Who was looking at the class very closely. Observing every student one by one.
"Welcome to My class" His voice bellowed. "Take you seats." His hands motioned you the tables set up around the class room.
Mr. Stone started to pace the room his voice filling the room as he talked about rules and safety precautions that they have to follow. Then he stopped suddenly and turned to the class, his feet making the floor shake a little.
"Now that we have that out of the way, who can tell me what are the twelve uses of Dragon blood." Everyone sat quietly, looking around at one another. Then someone slowly raised there hand. It was a Ravenclaw in the back at one of the tables near the door way.
"One use of Dragons Blood is that it help stop bleeding." Mr. Stone looked at the Boy with a sour expression.
"And you are?" Mr. Stone glared down at the boy.
"Leo, Leo Green." Marinette could heat Leo's voice quiver. And she could see Mr.Stone grin.
"Well Mr. Green I asked if you knew twelve and you give me one" his voice was steady not raise, which to Marinette was more scary then if it was raised. "If your going to answer my question you better fully commit boy. Thirty Points from Ravenclaw." He spat out the last part and all the Ravenclaws deflated. Marinette could see Leo on the verge of tears. Mr.Stone was now facing the class. His face was smug and Marinette couldn't stand it.
"Does anyone Know ALL twelve uses of Dragons Blood. Unlike Mr. Green." Marinette starting feeling odd, like she stood up to fast. Her head was light and her vision was slightly blurred. And before she knew it she was on her feet.
"That isn't fair!" Marinette's voice came out strong, which suprised her. Mr.Stone glared at her but before he could say anything Marinette continued. "At least Leo said something. It's not fair to punish him for answering the questioned you asked and who cares if he did fully answered it. Your just mad because someone knew the stupid answer!" Marinette's eyes widen as she realized what she had just done. That wasn't her.
Mr. Stones face turned red and Marinette felt herself shrink as he cowered over her.
"And what's your name, little miss hero" Marinette stood up a little straighter as she realized that all eyes where on her.
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
"We'll Miss Dupain-Cheng, since you want to be all brave, How about you answer my stupid question." Marinette stood there for a second looking glaring at Mr.Stones. Then she looked down in defeat. How was she supposed to know. She didn't come from a wizarding family.
"That's what I thought, Thirty po-" Out of nowhere Marinette got the strange feeling again. Bug this time instead of blurred vision it was like the word became clearer.
"The twelve uses of Dragons Blood are Perfume, Ink, Antiviral, Curing Stomach Ulcers, Fever Reducer, dye, Violin Resin, Incense, Painting Pigment, Toothpaste, Spells and as Leo said stopping Bleeding." Mr. Stone stood there for a second looking at Marinette with utter shock. Marinette didn't know how she knew that. Her mind felt blank all of the sudden.
"Please sit down Miss Dupian-Chang." Mr. Stones pointed to her seat and Marinette sat down right away.
"How did you know that?" Alya whispered to Marinette.
"I don't really know. I guess I read it in our potions book." Marinette shrugged.
"Mari, I went through the potions book before class and it's not in there." Marinette turned her head to Alya. Her face full of shock.
"What do you-u mean."
"I am saying that the twevle uses of dragons blood isn't in there. These textbook haven't been update since like the 1800s. The uses of Dragons blood hadn't been discovered yet." Alya pointed to the book and she looked at Marinette with such curiosity.
"Didn't you say you came from a muggle family?" Alya questioned.
"I am." Marinette's throat was dry. 'How did I know that and why can't I remember anything I said?' Marinette was starting to freak out a little bit.
By the time Potions had ended Marinette had calmed down a little but was still a little weirded out from what happen. Once class was over Marinette, Alya, Nino, and Adrian all walked over to the Defense Against the Dark Arts Class room.
Marinette walked in and her eyes when every where. There was so much stuff in the room and it was cool stuff. Giant magnifying glasses and a huge tank with a green creature in it. But Marinette's obsevering of the class room stopped there.
"ADRIKIANS" the high pitched voice screeched. And a blonde mop of hair hit Marinette in the Face.
