Izzy and Skittle were now the best of friends. They were always together and they would never be without each other.
A year passed, and their friendship carried on until they were both ten years old. One day, Izzy and Skittle were lying in the grass in the park on a hot summer's day.
"Skittle?"
"Yes, Izzy?"
"Do you think that we have a really strong friendship?"
"Why do you ask that? I mean, of course we have a strong friendship."
"Oh, I'm just asking."
But Skittle felt a bit suspicious as to why Izzy was asking her this. Izzy wasn't the type of friend to be all best-friends-forever. She was usually just the sort of person who gets a friend and is only bothered about staying friends with them, not making all these best friend pacts and things.
Which was very strange.
