After maths, it was playtime. Izzy and Skittle were sat on the picnic table in the middle of the playground, chatting and giggling together.
"Skittle...I need to tell you something." Izzy said worriedly.
"What is it?" Skittle was worried. It sounded pretty bad.
"Well, um, the thing is...I'm leaving the school tomorrow. My mum said we have to leave urgently." Izzy said.
Skittle's eyes widened.
"What? Why?" she asked.
"Because our teacher keeps making fun of my little sister. It's like she's bullying her, and it's making her really upset, so I have to leave." she explained.
Izzy had a little sister named Rose, who was disabled and couldn't walk. Izzy was very protective of her younger sister, and always stood up for her.
"That's horrible! Who would be so mean to make fun of Rose?" Skittle said, gasping.
"Exactly. That's why I have to move. I'm so sorry, Skittle, I wish I could stay with you, but I can't. I just can't." Izzy said, her voice starting to break.
"It's okay, Izzy." Skittle said, hugging her best friend.
But deep down inside she knew it wasn't okay.
