Mr Winter drove home in his car. It had been a week since the death of his favourite student, Skittle Aradito.
Of course, he had made sure that she had a proper funeral. There was a little party to say goodbye to her. Skittle had been buried in the graveyard near the school, and Mr Winter had decorated the grave with multicoloured flowers.
After the incident with Miss Foggerty, he had reported her to the headteacher and got her fired and stripped of all her teaching certificates and awards. She wasn't able to be a teacher again, and she had also been banned from coming anywhere near school premises. This made a lot of the students very happy, because absolutely nobody had liked Miss Foggerty. The sad part was, though, that nobody had realised that Skittle was gone until the funeral. Mr Winter knew that Skittle had been a loner, but he thought at least some people would have been worried about where she had gone, and that made him very upset.
He just hoped that Skittle would be happy, wherever she went when she died.
