Jimin's pov
Jimin awoke on Saturday morning with butterflies in his stomach.
He was going out with Jungkook today.
After showering, Jimin pulled on his favourite pair of black jeans and a shirt with a jacket on top before stepping into his boots. He knew exactly why he was making an effort to look good today. Jungkook hadn't called it a date when he had asked Jimin out, but it may as well be.
Jimin smiled to himself as he caught sight of himself in the mirror before exiting his dorm and making his way down to the entrance hall to meet Jungkook.
Jimin felt his breath hutch as he spotted the Gryffindor waiting for him in the entrance hall, his hair pushed a little away from his face and his big brown eyes catching the light of the morning sun. He was dressed in all black with a long black coat over his shoulders and Jimin had to quickly hide his blush before the Gryffindor spotted him.
"Hi." He said awkwardly once he reached Jungkook.
Jungkook turned and looked at him. "You look good." He said with a smile as Jimin felt the heat rush to his cheeks again.
"Thanks." He said in return. "So do you."
Jungkook grinned at him. "Wanna get going then?" He asked as Jimin nodded before the two of them began the walk to the little village of Hogsmeade.
"So, how are you?" Jungkook asked as he and Jimin walked along the cobbled roads, their hands tucked into the warmth of their pockets.
"I'm good." Jimin smiled up at him. "Are you?"
Jungkook nodded. "I feel better than I have in a long time." He replied, his eyes in the pavement in front of them. "I like being with you." He confessed. "I can't stand it when we aren't talking."
Jimin nodded. "Neither can I." He answered quietly.
"I don't ever want to argue with you again." Jungkook said as he looked down at the small Slytherin beside him. "I know that you might not like me the way I like you, but I do know that we can still be friends right?"
Jimin stopped and looked up at Jungkook.
The two of them were standing under a blossom tree and Jimin looked up at it now, the pink flowers making the scene look suddenly spring like after the long winter.
"Kookie." He said as Jungkook turned to see that he had stopped, and halted also in front of him.
Jimin stepped forwards and looked up at the Gryffindor, his eyes filled with something close to hope and longing.
"That's- that's not how it is." He said nervously. "The thing is, I actually like you to." He mumbled, quickly looking down at his fingers to avoid Jungkook's eyes which had now widened.
"You do?" He asked softly as Jimin nodded shyly before looking back up at him.
"Ever since that day in the three broomsticks, I sort of realised that my feelings were not just platonic." Jimin confessed. "But I thought you were in love with Lizzie so I didn't say anything."
Jungkook couldn't help but let the smile form on his face as he leaned forward and pulled the Slytherin in front of him into a hug.
Jimin smiled into Jungkook's shoulder as he reached his arms up to hug him back.
"I'm sorry Jiminie." Jungkook whispered softly into his shoulder. "I was so confident that you would never like me back that I thought if I dated Lizzie then she would get you off my mind." Jungkook sighed as Jimin hurried his head into his shoulder.
