The Undead (Zombies) Daryl fangirls please don't kill me.

This chapter is dedicated to PurelyHalfDragon & howlingwolf. Two people who love zombies.

Out of all the creatures requested to put in this thesaurus I must say that I'm now happy to add these beings. Zombies have started out as harmless slaves and have evolved into plague carrying monsters that haunt and entertain many people to this day. The original zombie folklore dates back into the year of 1819 and comes from Haitian mythology. It says that they're harmless and serve their masters every whim. But the zombies we all know in love are the ones that we see on shows like AMC's The Walking Dead. These zombies are mindless killing machines and due to this famous show they are known as walkers. At first a zombie starts out as a deceased human or creature and is then raised by the dark powers of witchcraft. When this happens the zombie will become brain dead and will carry no emotion or personal purpose. The only thing it will have is a tiny amount of intelligence, monstrously strong muscles and jawbones, the clothes on it's back, and the hunger that will never cease to disappear. They will usually travel in herds or will walk alone. When they're supply of food vanishes to a different location so will they unless they are held back or wiped out. Of course a bite will turn you into one of them and only a bite, nothing else. To end a zombie plague all zombies must be wiped out along with the key person behind it. It may seem easy to bash a zombie's brains in but I assure you it isn't, especially if you attack it from the front. The brain is encased by the skull which completely consist of bone. If you attack a zombie from the front with a blade like a machete you will have to keep attacking, that is if you can yank the blade back out. By then you will have wasted enough stamina for the beast to grab you and of course kill you. The reason why i say don't attack the front part of the skull is because that area is hardest part. Even if you do manage to get to that front area and attack it you will be hitting the frontal lobe which is an area that aids us in decision making along with retaining memories. These are things that zombies do not need for they are emotionless and do not make decisions, the only thing on its mind is to feed. In short Rick and his crew, and yes even the Southern hunk Daryl with their tactics of attacking from the front would be dead ten times over. Now I will admit that an item like a pistol or rifle will most defenitly do the job as long as it's not a weapon that shoots 22. Long Rifle ammunition. Even a crossbow that Daryl carries will defenitly do the job as long as the shaft is sturdy and the broadhead is sharp. The only thing wrong with the pistol and rifle is that they are loud weapons. You could aid a supressor but believe it or not you will not get that beautiful Pfft or bird chirping Pew. 
That's only in video games and movies!!  
A surpressor or silencer is created to hide muzzle flash and/or surpress the speed of the bullet so it won't break the sound barrier and so it won't make that large booming sound. Make no mistake you're going to get a large sound that can attract a zombie in close proximity it just won't be as loud. The same goes with subsonic ammunition as well. If you want to kill a zombie with a gun rifle make sure you're in a strong hold with plenty of people with well built barricade and an accurate weapon. When it comes to hand to hand combat attack from the sides or from behind. 
After that be sure to bury the bodies or burn them.
