"Why didn't you said anything when you first saw Heath with me?"

He licked his lips, probably tired from talking since I kept asking him about what I wanted to know for an hour now. I don't know when I'll get the chance to get my answers and the only choice I got is Chase. I'm not saying I'm going to believe him completely. He still hasn't told me the reason why he had to fool me, like what Heath, my cousin and Dark did to me.

I was still flustered. My head felt like it was being smashed by a sledgehammer every time I remember what Chase told me earlier.

"I was confident that you will choose me. I had a plan and everything went sideways since Dark betrayed me," mabilis na paliwanag niya. He looked like he's about to lose his last string of patience when he was talking but what he was doing probably calmed him.

I scoffed sarcastically and sniffed. "How did Dark betrayed you exactly?"

He stopped fixing something in his car and glanced at me in a serious way. "He chose Brie over my plan," iritang sabi niya.

My jaw dropped. "And you got mad when he chose Brie over you?"

He clicked his tongue and shifted his gaze at what he was doing earlier. My eyebrows furrowed at him even though he wasn't looking at me.

His anger was valid but his reason was out of place. It's obvious that Dark would choose Brie over Chase. And maybe it's not that. I had a feeling that there's something more. Chase isn't that shallow. Or maybe I don't really know him anymore.

I bit my lip before I talked. "What about when we were in London? I saw you with a girl and I remembered that you promised 'Reign' that you'll come back to her," sabi ko.

Natigilan siya sa ginagawa niya at ibinaba ang hawak. He looked at me, surprised. He must have thought that I didn't know about that. Wala na 'yong halaga sa'kin ngayon pero gusto ko pa'din malaman kung bakit niya nagawa 'yon.

"You saw that?" His eyebrow arched.

Napailing ako. "How dare you come back for Reign?"

"It was a mistake. And it's just one night," he stated like it wasn't a big deal for him.

Napatawa ako. "Is that a common thing for guys?"

"Ang alin?" Kumunot ang noo niya.

Napairap ako. "Ang manloko," sagot ko.

I stood up properly and covered my cold arms using my hands. It was really getting cold and dark. And if it wasn't for the moonlight, I wouldn't see anything. And for the streetlight, too.

"I'm sorry, Allison. It was a stupid mistake and I was drunk," palusot niya.
