"How's Tita Carla?" My heart was racing faster than ever. I know being nervous was bad for me but I couldn't help it. I lost Chase, I'm not ready to lose another one.
Heath caressed my cheek and wiped my tears away. "She'll be fine."
We've been waiting for almost an hour now and I couldn't say how bad the accident was since I didn't saw her. But that's a good thing, though. That way I can't lie to the kids. Astro has been crying for a while now while Mulan was just quiet, sitting in a corner. I was carrying Kienna in my arms for almost an hour but it didn't bothered me. I couldn't left them in their house all alone so I brought them here with me.
"I hope so. I don't know what I'd do if I lose her, too."
"You won't. I assure you that," saad ni Heath habang pinapatahan si Astro. Bigla naman dumating sila Brie at Dark kaya nabuhayan ako kahit konti. I was getting a bit tired now.
Brie immediately got Kienna from me and tried to talk to her, She became fond of her, of the kids because she has been visiting Tita Carla when I was hospitalized. And I really love her for it, Agad naman kinausap ni Dark si Heath at inalalayan kay Astro.
"Why don't you eat dinner at a fast food near here with the kids? I'll follow you if there's any information about Tita Carla?" Heath suggested. Bahagya namang tumahan si Astro kaya medyo nauna sila ni Dark. Brie immediately followed them while I went to Mulan and talked to her.
"Hey, kiddo. Gutom ka na ba? I'm sure you're hungry," I chuckled softly. "Halika, sama ka samin." I tried to held her hand but she politely refused. My heart broke for the kid. I know what she's feeling but I couldn't do anything to make her feel better. I wanted to ask her again but Heath tapped my shoulders and when I stood up, he pulled me in for a hug.
"I'll take care of her. Take out na lang, sure akong gutom na siya 'e." He whispered while gently caressing my hair, it calmed me.
Napangiti ako. I loved how he takes care of them as his own. Naalala kong sa tuwing nakikita niya ang mga bata ay naaalala niya 'yung mama niya. But he has a big heart. I know he would do anything for the kids even if he was sad.
Nang makawala ako sa yakap ay tumango ako. "Thank you," saad ko.
"Sure. Go ahead, nag-iintay na siguro ang mga 'yon." He said while putting on his cap in my head so I wouldn't be recognised outside and planted a kiss in my cheek before I go.
I went outside of the hospital and found Brie and Dark outside looking like a happy family. They immediately waved at me as soon as they saw me at the entrance of the hospital. Dumiretso kami sa isang fast food restaurant na malapit lang dito at agad na umorder. We ate first before ordering again for Heath and Mulan. I hope Mulan will feel better once she eat as well as Heath at sana naman ay maayos na ang lagay ni Tita Carla.
Brie held my hand all of a sudden, making me glance at her way. "Hey, it's gonna be okay. I knew Tita Carla for two weeks and I learned that she doesn't easily give up. We talked to the police and they'll do anything to find the driver who did this to her," she assured me.
