wooyoung
meet me at the practice room after school

san
okie dokes

wooyoung went to the practice room as soon as he could. since his teacher for his last period was nice and let them off early, wooyoung was there a few minutes before the bell rang. yeosang stayed with him, saying that he doesn't like san that much and so he will be staying with him until san comes.

"why do you not like san?" wooyoung whispered softly to the older. yeosang widened his eyes. it was the first time wooyoung spoke outside of his house, and yeosang was proud of him. he knew it isn't easy for someone like wooyoung to speak up out of their comfort zone, their literal comfort zone, and therefore yeosang is really, really proud of the younger.

yeosang shrugged, "that's another story for you. all you have to know is that he's popular and he makes it oh so easy for people to fall into his trap."

wooyoung snorted, "yeosang, i'm just practising the dance with him. plus, we're just friends. i don't think we'll go anywhere sooner."

yeosang looked at wooyoung up and down and raised his left eyebrow, "i know how fast you fall for them."

"shut up," wooyoung muttered and the bell rang. piles after piles of people poured out of their respective classrooms, making their way to the main doors to say goodbye to this hell. wooyoung, on instinct, clutched onto yeosang's arms, his social anxiety making an appearance again.

as much as wooyoung hates it, he can't help but feel extremely anxious whenever there are people that aren't yeosang or his mom around, so honestly, he's worried about this practice with san. perhaps he should call it off. no, wooyoung, he told himself. your mom raised you well and she wouldn't want you to chicken out of practising dance and maybe meeting a new friend.

"hey, wooyoung. hi, yeosang." san waved at the two friends. he noticed how wooyoung was clung onto yeosang's arms and can't help but frown. is wooyoung scared of him? or is he just scared of people in general?

when he first met wooyoung, he tried to do some research on why wooyoung doesn't like to talk. he knows it isn't the best thing to research on why someone's like that, but san wanted to know. he found out that wooyoung was either mute, or selectively mute. either way, he can't help it. san feels bad for the boy, so he looked up ways to help a mute or a selective mute.

yeosang didn't even smile at san. he said with a cold expression on his face, "well, jongho is near as well. i'll go now. bye, woo. call me when you get home!" wooyoung nodded and opened the door to the dancing studio.

the boys went into the dance studio and closed the door behind them. they put down their bags and prepared to dance. san connected his phone to the speaker and told wooyoung to do some warm ups to the song first. wooyoung nodded.

'dusk till dawn' by zayn malik started playing, and the two boys swayed to the beat of the song. soon enough, san and wooyoung were both dancing to the song. the song is an upbeat song, and therefore the boys were using all their power to dance to the song.

three minutes later, san and wooyoung were laying on the floor, panting. wooyoung smiled at san, who chuckled in return. "well, which part of the dance do you want to go through?"

wooyoung thought of how he should tell san. an idea popped into his head and he went to san's phone, searching for the song they danced to yesterday. he played the middle part of the song, where it is the most intense. san nodded.

"well, uh, how about you dance to it once and i'll tell you what you can improve on?" san suggested. wooyoung nodded and san began the music a few bars prior the start of the intense part. wooyoung prepared himself,  counting the eights inside him.

as quickly as wooyoung started, the intense part ended. wooyoung slumped down against one of the walls and drank his water. san chuckled slightly at how exhausted the boy looks. he waited until wooyoung was breathing more steadily and told him to stand up.

"firstly, i love your energy. your energy is definitely for this dance sequence! i'll suggest to mr park that he put you in the centre or at least at the front so people can see you. but i do think some of the moves lack energy. for example, uh, that wave to kneel part. you were doing okay, but, um, if you could try..." san demonstrated, "like this, i think the effect would come out better. you try."

wooyoung nodded, trying to imitate san's movements. san beamed when wooyoung finished, "that's amazing, wooyoung! wow, you do adapt really quickly."

the boys continued to practice and try to perfect their moves until the clock striked 6. wooyoung had to go home, but san doesn't seem to have any intentions of going home. wooyoung frowned, how should i tell him?

'ding'! it came from san's phone. san looked over at wooyoung who motioned san to check his phone.

wooyoung
san, i have to get home

san looked up from his phone and to wooyoung, who was smiling slightly at the boy. san looked at the clock and his eyes widened at how late it is.

"oh shit, sorry wooyoung, i didn't realise how late it was. i'll see you tomorrow." san smiled at wooyoung. wooyoung smiled back.

wooyoung
i'll see you tmwr too!

wooyoung
don't go home so late

san's smile widened, "of course. text me when you get back home, alright?" wooyoung did an okay sign before heading out of the door. san smiled. at least he was making some progress with the younger.
