a/n: it's a roller coaster ride from this chap onward, so, uh, buckle up!!

two months passed by after san officially asked wooyoung to be his. they're this new, happy couple, and it made almost everyone want a relationship like theirs. they don't really do skinship with each other, but when they're together, it's like the world lit up for them.

everyone could see how much they enjoyed being with each other. their smiles are always the biggest and their eyes are always the shiniest when they're together. almost everyone was jealous of how well they fit together and what an amazing couple they make.

"san!" seonghwa yelled from across the hall, causing the couple to look up from their talking. san smiled at seonghwa coming as wooyoung waved at hongjoong cutely. "look, i have a party tomorrow night and i was wondering if you want to join me!"

san looked at wooyoung and raised an eyebrow as if he's asking permission from his boyfriend. wooyoung chuckled at how childish san was and nodded. san beamed at seonghwa, "i'll come tomorrow! tell me when and i'll be there tomorrow."

seonghwa smiled back at the black-haired boy, "great. see you tomorrow, san!"

when hongjoong and seonghwa left the lovesick couple behind in the corridors, san turned to wooyoung suspiciously, "you're really letting me go to the party? after what happened last time?"

wooyoung laughed lightly and shook his head, "just don't get drunk this time, san. plus, what happened last time got us together, remember? so stop being an asshat and go enjoy seonghwa's party tomorrow, alright?"

san smiled at wooyoung and pecked his nose, "i love you! you're the best, woo, i'll see you after school!"

wooyoung chuckled at how cute san was as he went dashing towards his lecture hall. wooyoung then went to the library, since he had a free period, where he'll hopefully catch up with some homework and just relax for a bit.

"are you sure you're not coming to the party? it's gonna be fun, woo." san pouted, still trying to convince wooyoung to go to seonghwa's party. san has been trying to convince wooyoung since after school, but the younger just doesn't seem to budge. at all.

wooyoung chuckled and shook his head, "no! you know how much i hate alcohol."

san sighed and did his best puppy eyes, "pleaaaase? pretty please? just for me, baby?" wooyoung tensed at the nickname, and san smirked, "please, baby? just come with me just this once. you can just sit on the side and wait for me to go, baby, but please, come with me."

wooyoung sighed, "well, you pulled out the nickname, i can't really say no now, can i?" san chuckled and pumped his fist into the air, signalling his victory. "i love you, youngie! come on, let's go!"

within a few minutes, san parked his car just outside of seonghwa's house as wooyoung got down from the car. wooyoung looked up as he smelled alcohol, sweat and heard the loud bass music blasting from inside. he gulped. what if his anxiety acts up again? what if he randomly gets an anxiety attack?

san wrapped his arm around wooyoung's tiny waist and kissed his temple lightly, "hey, if your anxiety acts up again, we'll leave immediately, alright?" wooyoung looked at his boyfriend and nodded, smiling and gesturing san to go knock on seonghwa's door.

seonghwa opened the door and were shocked at how san had company, "wooyoung! you came! what a surprise. well, come on in, you two lovebirds."

wooyoung rolled his eyes as san dragged him into the crowd of sweaty, high and drunk teens. wooyoung didn't like the environment at all. it's for san, he repeatedly told himself, it's all for san.

he went around one of the corners and sat himself there, just looking over at the drunk crowd. wooyoung shook his head, why did he agree to come? he hates it here. but if wooyoung had to choose all over again, he knew he'd choose to come. just for san's sake.

speaking of a certain choi san, wooyoung lost track of where he went already. so wooyoung decided to wait until probably 12 midnight and then find san and drive them back to their apartment. a few boys— and girls came by to offer him a drink and a dance, but wooyoung refused them all, telling them he wasn't feeling it. which was true, but also not completely, entirely true.

truth is, wooyoung was scared of the big crowd. he's scared he'll feel suffocated in there and faint right there and then. it happened once, at a party with youngjee. it was embarrassing and humiliating, so wooyoung would never want that to happen again.

"what the fuck, you bitch!" a loud voice echoed off the walls of seonghwa's house. the party stopped. the music stopped. everyone dancing stopped. out of the corner of his eye, wooyoung saw seonghwa rushing to the source of the voice to see what's going on. a path was made for him as the crowd separated in the middle, allowing seonghwa and hongjoong to go find out.

hongjoong backed away and went to where wooyoung was, which made wooyoung confused and scared. is there something wrong with san?

"you, uh, i know you don't like violence and stuff, woo. but you should see this." hongjoong's voice trailed off. no, hongjoong's voice didn't trail off, wooyoung's mind shut him out, along with everyone else. all the murmurs, hongjoong's concerned eyes, everyone pointing at fingers at him. he couldn't take it.

wooyoung fell, his hands pressed to his ears as he kept on shaking his head. hongjoong, since he was the closest, went over to wooyoung and pulled the younger boy to his chest. wooyoung could see it. he could see hongjoong muttering things, probably comfort words, at wooyoung in an attempt to calm him down. but his mind is still shutting everyone out. he couldn't hear a thing. his mind wouldn't allow it.

then he saw it. he finally saw it. san, his knuckle painted with blood, over a boy who had his nose punched. san was breathing heavily as seonghwa was trying to calm the boy down. yeosang was there, tending the boy who had his nose injured. wooyoung's eyes widened in realisation: san was punching people again. san was angry again. san was triggered again. san was violent again.

wooyoung scrambled to get up and san's eyes caught his. he could see san was trying to apologise to wooyoung, trying to explain to wooyoung why he did is. but wooyoung didn't want to know. san punched someone and it's an act of violence. it's like two years ago all over again.

and what wooyoung hated more was that he thought san was getting better. he thought san wasn't his past self when he accepted to be san's boyfriend. but he should've known better when he saw san in his black leather jacket and such. he should've known san was everything but 'better'. he was so naive. he hated himself for that.

wooyoung ran out of the house. and this time, he was certain where he was going to go. a place where he didn't have to see san again. and who cares if it takes an hour to get to school and back? he just didn't want to see san.

"wooyoung, honey, why are you calling me?"

"i-i need a ride, mom."

ok before you guys come at me saying we almost never get san's perspective on things, i promise this time we will get a perspective of it. i thought long and hard of what san should do to keep the plot going. like i had an outline saying "san does something, wooyoung goes back to —" but i never specify what exactly san had to do. and when i published the 1.15 (yes this was written on the day i published 1.15) i realised what wooyoung feared the most. san isn't being taken away, yes, but wooyoung is still scared of san portraying acts of violence. so uh yeah here we are. other options were san actually being arrested by the cops for hitting a fellow classmate or hooking up with someone else. but i think this was the best one.

so um stay tuned for the next chapter, and hopefully, you're having a great day!
