next two weeks were hell to wooyoung. san has a girlfriend. somehow the gay san has a girlfriend now. and wooyoung could see san was happy.

san was in a relationship with a girl called yeji. she's beautiful, slim, funny and above all, san's type. two more weeks and you're done with this goddamn school, wooyoung would tell himself, but that burning jealousy inside him isn't going anywhere else soon.

"woo, you alright? you've been gripping on that pencil for ten minutes and it looks like it's going to break." seonghwa out his hand on wooyoung's arm, which calmed wooyoung immediately. wooyoung sighed and scribbled down some words on his notepad.

i hate how san is happy without me. wooyoung wrote. seonghwa sighed and smiled at wooyoung, hopefully giving wooyoung some joy.

"it's going to get better, trust me." seonghwa's smile somehow brought reassurance for wooyoung. he's glad he and seonghwa cleared things up. seonghwa is now one of his best friends and he honestly couldn't ask for anything more.

while yeosang is like a brother to wooyoung, seonghwa is like a mother to him. seonghwa, even knowing that wooyoung wouldn't reply him, asks wooyoung has he eaten yet every single day. wooyoung tends to skip lunch when he hits rock bottom and seonghwa is always there to make sure wooyoung eats something. whether it be granola bars or fried rice, seonghwa makes sure wooyoung had something in his stomach to keep him going for the rest of the school hours.

wooyoung sighed and nodded, a slight smile tugging on his lips. but it fell immediately when san and yeji walked into the room. somehow, san got even more popular when he and yeji became a thing. san started to ignore his old, less cool friends and hung out with his cooler friends.

seonghwa knew san didn't like his new group of friends. they're all stuck up assholes that only cared about money and sex. san and yeji were different. they didn't love each other, no. they're only dating to make those they love jealous, which to seonghwa is a stupid plan.

seonghwa knew it wouldn't work because of how wooyoung would genuinely wish san the happiest and wouldn't want anything to destroy what seems like san's happiness. sadly, san doesn't see that and believes his plan is the best way to have wooyoung talk to him again.

"hey, shy boy. move over so we can set." one of the stuck ups, aerin, said to wooyoung. wooyoung looked over at seonghwa for support, who looked at san and silently hoped that san took his message.

but san did nothing. he stood by the sideline as aerin and her friends continued to bully the shit out of wooyoung. he did nothing. he did nothing, wooyoung. wooyoung slightly chuckled at himself, his foolish self who thought san might do something.

and that's when wooyoung thought that san doesn't care anymore. perhaps san moved on and is super happy with yeji now. if he is happy with yeji, then i'll be happy for him, too.

"it hurts so much, yeo, it's like my heart got ripped out, put in, and ripped out again." wooyoung sobbed into yeosang's shirt, gripping onto the hem of his shirt.

wooyoung isn't okay. despite his many sayings of 'i'm fine' and 'it's okay', yeosang knew wooyoung isn't okay. san isn't as well, but wooyoung was obviously hurting more. yeosang knows how much the younger liked and adored the older, and san just moved on so quickly?

but then, san didn't know wooyoung liked him. he thought wooyoung hated him because of how the younger has been ignoring him. if only san knew what goes on in that poor boy's mind.

"wooyoung, it's going to get better," yeosang reassured the smaller, only for wooyoung to glare at him with tear-filled eyes.

"no! you and seonghwa kept on saying that, but it isn't going to get better! san hates me. san doesn't care about me. how is that going to get better?" wooyoung choked on his own sobs, causing him to go into a coughing fit, "just— yeosang, stop telling me it's going to get better because it won't and it never will."

yeosang sighed at his best friend's terrible state. wooyoung has been crying since that day and it's friday now. san ignore him three days ago. wooyoung acted completely fine when he's at school, smiling and nodding when his friends asked him if he's fine.

but once he gets back home, he rushes into his room and only comes out if yeosang is here. yeosang then comforts wooyoung and allow wooyoung to cry until he falls asleep. then yeosang goes back home and waits for the cycle to restart itself.

and yeosang hated how hurt wooyoung is. he knew wooyoung would only hurt more if he stays here longer. so he proposed an idea that he never thought he'd had to say.

"wooyoung, why don't you move out by the end of the year? you and your mom can go to another town or something. it's a change of environment and you'll be able to get over san." yeosang suggested. wooyoung looked at him, his eyes red and puffy from all the crying.

"get over san? yeo, how am i supposed to get over my soulmate?" wooyoung asked as he burst into tears again.

yeosang sighed, "woo, hey, it's okay if you can't. just, i feel like you really need a change of environment. please, for your own sake."

wooyoung looked at yeosang, and yeosang smiled, "i'll be okay. i still have jongho and mingi. i'll be fine without you, wooyoung."

"but i won't be fine without you, yeosang," wooyoung muttered. yeosang chuckled at how cute his best friend is.

"you'll be fine, wooyoung, you will be. trust me," yeosang whispered as he pulled wooyoung into a tight hug and just sat there and hugged him until wooyoung fell asleep.

the next day, yeosang told mrs jung the idea before wooyoung got to. ms jung frowned, "are you sure it's a good idea, yeosang? you're the only friend he's willing to talk to."

yeosang nodded, "mrs jung, i know you're concerned for wooyoung not being able to meet any friends. and that's why i think he should receive therapy as well. i think i can think of a good reason to convince him to receive therapy, and then he'll be able to meet new friends. plus, it's best for him to have a change of environment. he's suffering too much here."

ms jung sighed and nodded, "i can see it. well, thank you, yeosang. i'll start doing some research. you should go wake wooyoung up."

yeosang knocked on wooyoung's door, opened it and found wooyoung dressing already. wooyoung had a small smile tugging his lips when he saw yeosang.

"wooyoung," yeosang started, "how do you feel about getting back at san?"

and on that (and a few days of convincing over and over again), wooyoung decided to receive therapy and to move to a new home after the end of junior year. and yeosang has never been so hopeful about his best friend finally getting over his anxiety.
