"hold the fuck up, you two are dating?" yunho yelled, allowing the entire cafeteria to hear it. wooyoung quickly shushed the loud boy down and blushed. san nodded, holding up their intertwined hands to confirm the boy's words.

yunho gasped and immediately gushed about how he told mingi months ago that they're going to date and jongho apparently lost a bet to yeosang, causing the younger to pay ten dollars to yeosang. yeosang grinned at his victory. 

"so, how did you two get together? who confessed first? when the fuck did it happen?" hongjoong asked excitedly. wooyoung and san looked at each other, unsure of how they should tell their friends. wooyoung chuckled awkwardly, "actually... remember when san came back home drunk? we got together the next morning."

seonghwa started choking and as hongjoong tried to soothe his back and stop the choking, seonghwa just kept on laughing, "i— i'm so sorry, it's just, i-it seems so funny!" seonghwa continued laughing as the others looked at him weirdly, but mingi seemed to get his point and joined in as well.

san rolled his eyes and sighed, "and that's why we don't ever tell how we got together to seonghwa. he's such an asshole." san finished and glared at seonghwa, who was still laughing at god knows what.

"well, i'm just glad you two got together. we're so tired of how obvious everything has been and yet you two never realised your feelings for each other are mutual." jongho said, letting out a relieved breath and continued eating his lunch. yeosang nodded in agreement, "i agree. i'm so tired of listening to wooyoung ranting about how san ignores him and seems like san doesn't like him."

wooyoung's eyes widened in shock and reached over to hit yeosang on the arm, "you snitch! shut up!"

yeosang chuckled and leaned forward, as if he's challenging wooyoung, "you're not denying it, though."

wooyoung's cheeks reddened and he put his head in the space between san's neck and shoulder, feeling embarrassed that his best friend just exposed him in front of his boyfriend. san chuckled at how wooyoung was embarrassed by yeosang's words and stroked the younger's back to comfort him.

"that's cute, wooyoung. but if you have anything against what i'm doing, just tell me, alright?" san asked wooyoung, who's cheeks reddened even further. he nodded and buried his head further into san's neck. 

jongho saw the couple opposite to them and pouted at yeosang, "why can't we be like that, yeo?"

yeosang looked at the other and chuckled, "well, i don't like that. so deal with it or leave."

jongho rolled his eyes but when yeosang laid his head on jongho's shoulder, jongho smiled. yeosang was never one to express himself through affection or even one to start being affectionate to his partner. but jongho doesn't mind it. he knew yeosang doesn't like it for a reason and therefore, he respects it. 

"you two are such a comical couple." mingi laughed at the couple sitting next to them, "why can't you just make up your mind on whether or not you're showing affection?"

yeosang glared at the taller and stuck his tongue out, which made jongho chuckle and guided yeosang's head back to his shoulder. hongjoong shook his head at the two boys and smiled slightly.

despite knowing yeosang and wooyoung the shortest, he honestly felt so happy that they're with their soulmates. yes, hongjoong didn't witness yeosang and jongho getting together, but knowing those two boys are happy with each other is all he'll ever need to know. and seeing wooyoung and san finally accepting their own feelings and get together as well just makes his heart burst with happiness.

those two has been struggling so hard just because they haven't been honest with each other. hongjoong would be lying if he said he wasn't tired of san constantly complaining about how wooyoung doesn't seem to like him back. but hongjoong, being the great friend he is, never told san once to give up on wooyoung. 

and hongjoong was glad that san listened to him instead of rebelling and giving up on wooyoung. hongjoong swears he never saw san being this happy and he's glad that the boy is now beaming whenever wooyoung is beside or near him. he's glad san just seems so much happier and hongjoong is thankful for that.

when wooyoung wasn't here, all san did was drink, smoke and just numb himself with those things that kill him so he wouldn't feel so bad. hongjoong watched san in pity every single day just for san to kick him out and curse at him for caring. hongjoong never once got mad at san for being mad at him, because san had a reason.

seeing san all happy and jittery makes him so gleeful because finally, for once, he doesn't have to be the one looking after him. for once, san is happy. for once, hongjoong could focus on himself.

hongjoong felt a kiss on his forehead and he smiled up, seeing his boyfriend smiling right back up at him, "what are you thinking about, joongie?"

hongjoong's smile got wider and he let a content sigh out as he put his head on seonghwa's shoulder, "i'm just so happy we're all finally happy."

yeah, it's shorter than usual and if you thought this was finally the happy ending for all of them, haha sike you thought. get ready for a roller coaster ride :)
