//SHUICHI POV//

I woke in the morning, luckily before Kokichi.

Over night, Kokichi must've rolled to the side, because I woke up half falling off of the bed, and him entangled in the blanket.

I hopped out of bed and got dressed.

It was six am and I felt wide awake.

After eating a bowl of cereal, I watched some YouTube videos before hearing a knock on my door.

Hoping it hadn't woken Kokichi up, I stood up and opened the door.

Kaito stood outside of our dorm with his signature grin.

"Hey, sidekick," he yelled, putting an arm around my shoulder.

I jumped slightly, yet chuckled.

"You're up already? I kinda expected you to be a person to sleep in."

"Well, usually I am, because I stay up most nights lookin' at the stars, but last night was different, man," Kaito said loudly.

I put my finger to my lips and shushed him.

"Kokichi's sleeping," I whispered, shutting the door so that he wouldn't hear us.

He frowned slightly.

I doubt he noticed it.

"What's up," I asked, once the door was shut and Kaito had taken a step back.

"Well, we've been here for a day, and I haven't seen you since! Maybe we could explore the town today, or go to a bar!"

"Kaito, we can't go to a b-bar," I sighed.

He chuckled.

"Well, I guess that leaves us only one option!"

I knew there was no point in refusing.

If I would, he'd call me weak and probably punch me again-

"So, I was thinking bout' inviting Maki and Kaede to come with us," he grinned.

I thought about Kokichi sitting inside all day, fighting the urge to fall asleep.

"U-uh, sure, can Kokichi tag along?"

He seemed puzzled.

"What, you want that liar to be around us?"

Something about him saying that made me burn up.

"He's not all that bad. S-sure he lied a lot, but one, it was a game and two, in the end you were the one who killed him," I yelled, but still quiet enough to not wake up the others.

He staggered backwards.

He didn't expect me to yell, I guess.

"Sure.. Kokichi can come with us.. Be ready at nine, we'll meet at the bus stop," he said, walking away.

I wanted to apologize for getting mad, but then again I wasn't sorry.

I walked back into the dorm and saw Kokichi sitting up, rubbing his eyes.

"Good morning, Kokichi," I said, waving.

He looked up at me and blinked.

"W-Me and a few others were gonna go look around town today, I already asked if you could come along and they said yes."

I knew if I said who was going, he'd try and refuse.

But I also knew that him going out and doing things will help him recover mentally.
