Angel

I'm dining in the hall of a broken house.
Not much left in kitchen but surely I'll figure it out.
Outside the door the thundering is loud.
And the ceiling is dripping like a cloud.

But I've got nothing to be scared of.
What's there to be worried about?
When an angel is watching over me!

I'm trying to climb but something's pulling me down.
I can't see a thing, it's too dark around.
If it's me breaking or the world is crumbling?
It's a little tough to stand my feet on ground.

But I've got nothing to be scared of.
What's there to be worried about?
When an angel is watching over me!

If it's okay if, now, I stop lying?
I'm too tired to fool myself, I've been trying.
I'm drenched, starved, broke, lost and crying.
It did work once but now I stopped buying.

I've got so many things to be scared of.
I tried not to but now I've started to doubt
That any angel is watching over me.
