Forever is a lie

Don't hold me to future plans my friends.
I knew we'll part someday when our friendship begin.
It's sad, how all the beautiful things
Are destined to one day meet their end.

All the photos clicked, all the voice mail sent,
Will one day be lost, no matter how much they meant.
Wounds will heal when tended, Broken hearts will mend,
All the pain you feel will one day end.

Promises of being friends forever,
That love we thought we won't lose ever,
Everything fleets like a butterfly.
Forever is a lie.

The bricks we put to build our home together,
Will turn to dust, nothing lasts forever.
There is an end to the endless sky.
Forever is a lie.

Cemeteries are filled with 'gone but never forgotten's.
Those promises will one day be broken.
Some things last for centuries, some end by weekend.
One day even all the memories will end.

Everything turns to dust when time is challenged.
Sounds like a lie that death is not permanent,
Because nobody has ever seen hell or heaven.
Even the world will one day meet it's end.

Promises of being friends forever,
That love we thought we won't lose ever,
Everything fleets like a butterfly.
Forever is a lie.

The bricks we put to build our home together,
Will turn to dust, nothing lasts forever.
There is an end to the endless sky.
Forever is a lie.
