Zach's POV

Jack moved in with Gabbie since they are engaged and just had a baby. I am still living at my family's apartment, but I am thinking of getting one of my own. Jonah and I are hanging out right now.

"So have you talked to Jack since Lav was born?" Jonah randomly asked.

"No, not really. Its hard to be friends with someone you have fallen in love with Jo."

"I know but I thought maybe you guys have at least talked some"

"Nope. Not at all"

"Oh. Maybe you should try. I know your friendship won't ever be the same but you guys could at least talk to each other. Instead of just talking when we work on stuff or for interviews"

"Yeah true. I guess we could try. I just don't know how I am supposed to pretend like nothing happened Jonah"

"I know bub"

"Ughhhhh" Jonah hugs me and I start crying. "I wish it was me. That should be my hand in his. That should be me engaged to him. That should be me in his arms. That should be me having a family with him. That should be us together."

"Hey shhhhh. Its okay, maybe one day it will be. Maybe you guys aren't meant t be right now. Maybe you guys are supposed to be togethrr later on in life but not right now. Right person, wrong time"

"Maybe. But it still hurts Jo" I sniffle.

"I know. I'm not saying it doesn't hurt. I am just saying try to stay positive" Jonah says.

"I will try Jo" I say and we continue our Harry Potter marathon. Which Jonah insisted on by the way.

Jack's POV

Gabbie and I are planning the wedding while Lavender is down for her nap. Soon Lavender wakes up crying and Gabbie changes and then feeds her.

After more planning we take a break for the night and watch a movie. Cuddled up on the couch, Gabbie and I taking turns on getting Lavender when need be. I'm content with how my life is going. It would be better if you were with Zach instead. You would be happy with him not just content.

I roll my eyes and try to focus on the movie. Zach never leaves my mind. He is basically all I think about anymore. My phone goes off.

Z- Nothing much just bored wbu

J- Watching a movie

Z- Hey same Jonah suckered me into watching Harry Potter 🙄😂

J- That sucks for you kiddo

Z- Hey man child shut it

J- Make me

Z- I would but you have a fiancee and I'm not there 🤷🏽‍♂️

J- ...

Z- Sorry I shouldn't have said that

J- No you're fine. I know you were joking just didn't know what to say

Z- Oh okay

J- Yeah

Z- So what do you wanna talk about

J- Idk you pick

Z- I don't know either thats why I asked you 😂

J- Oh 😂😂

Z- Yeah dip

J- Hey I will be back in a sec it's my turn to get Lavender

Z- Oh okay

I get up and walk to the nursery and pick up Lavender. I change her diaper and feed her. I set her down in her crib, but by the way she is trying to wiggle around I know she isn't going back to sleep. I pick her back up and head to the couch with her in my arms.

"Someone isn't tired any more" I say and smile as I sit down.

"Well then the little one can hang out with us for a while" Gabbie answers, tickling Lav a little. We continue to watch the movie and spend time as a family and I forget to answer Zach.
