Part 7. Pent-Up Emotional Outburst

Thank you again for voting. However, I wish you guys spent sometime in more comments/reviews of the chapters.

Anyway, this chapter is a major reason for why I was so driven to write an FF from the end of the Talent Hunt. When I was watching the end of Season 1, it always felt like Manik's friends took him for granted a lot of times. And I really wanted Manik to have his chance to express his feelings. He had a lot of emotions smothered inside of him but the creatives never gave him a chance to burst out and this was something I really wanted to see. Manik's character deserved this.

Manik was suddenly woken up with his phone's vibration. Was it already morning? His phone was ringing on the side table next to Nandini. He bent over to pick it up before she woke up. Unfortunately, he put a little of his body-weight on her in trying to stretch for his phone and disturbed Nandini's sleep. Nandini turned to his side and buried her face in the crook of his neck while Manik answered the call.

Manik - Hello.

Cabir - Manik. Saale. Tu ab tak so raha hai!

Manik - What the fuck is it Cabir. Sone de na.

Cabir - Manik. Hume 9 baje woh O2 ke manager se milna tha. It's already 8. Jaldi uth.

Manik - Shit. I'll be there.

Manik hung up and tried to get out of bed but Nandini was holding him too tight. Moving would definitely wake her up but he had no choice.

Manik - Nandini.. Baby.. Let me go. I need to wake up.

Nandini - Noo. I'm not letting you go anywhere. You're super comfy.

Manik - I have to go for a meeting na.

Nandini - What meeting?

Manik - The O2 meeting. We have to tell them that my beautiful and super talented girlfriend has rejected their offer to sing with me.

Nandini - Noooo. Don't go..

Manik - Why are you so cranky today?

Nandini - I'm not cranky.

Manik - You're not letting me go. Especially when you know I have an important meeting. Kya hua?

Nandini - Kuch nahi. Fine go. I'll also wake up.

Manik - Tum so jao na. Why are you waking up?

Nandini - Nahi. I'll leave with you and go home.

Manik - Okay.

Manik rushed to the washroom while Nandini decided to just change. She would go to her house and shower and then go to college.

Soon, the two of them were heading out of the house and walking towards Manik's car.

Manik - Nandini, Hurry up or I won't make it on time.

Nandini - Manik, tum jao. Main auto se chali jaungi.

Unfortunately, Nandini didn't see a big stone while she was talking to Manik and fell down and sprained her ankle.

Manik - Nandini...

Nandini - Ouch.. Ow ow ow....

Manik - Why can't you see where you're walking!

He picked her up and put her in the car seat and examined her foot.
