The rest of the dinner passed quickly. Towards the end of the evening, Manik was quite surprised at the fact that he actually had fun. He had not expected that he would gel and actually bond with Nandini's friends. He was in fact ashamed of the fact that he had judged them without even knowing them. Just because they belonged to a small town. But contrary to his belief, he realised that both Vineet and Sujata were actually really cool and very nice people and just like Nandini, both had their hearts in the right place. Good people definitely attracted good people. And Nandini was a gem. He'd never want to lose her ever. By the time dinner was over, it was quite late. Manik was going to drop Nandini and Sujata home and he offered to drop Vineet as well but he declined as he was headed in the opposite direction.
Once all of them settled in Manik's car, Nandini couldn't help but complain about the cleanliness of his car.
Nandini - Manik, tumne phir se apni car wash nahi karwayi, hai na? Look at this, it's so dirty.
Manik - Nandini yaar. Please don't start now.
Nandini - But just look at this dashboard. Aur windshield also is so dirty. It's all messed up. Aur meri chocolate kahaan hai? Maine yahaan rakhi thi.
Manik - Woh maine kha li. I was very hungry in the morning. So...
Nandini - Manik. You knew it was my favourite. I wanted to eat something sweet abhi.
Manik - Humne abhi toh dessert khaya.
Nandini- Haan. But I want more.
Manik - Aaj date kya hai?
Nandini - 29th October. Kyu?
Manik - No wonder.
Nandini - No wonder what?
Manik - You're PMSing.
Nandini - Manik!
The two of them had completely forgotten Sujata was sitting on the rear seat in between their banter. She pinched his arm which was on the gear asking him to mind his words before he spoke any further. However, Manik could care less. He took a quick detour and stopped at an ice-cream parlour.
Nandini - Tumne yahaan kyu car rok di?
Manik - Tumhe dessert khaana tha na? So get some ice-cream. Warna poori raat Sujata ko pareshaan karogi.
Sujata couldn't help but laugh out at his comment while Nandini scowled. However, all 3 of them entered the ice-cream parlour and Nandini and Sujata picked their flavours.
Nandini - Tumhe kaunsa flavour chahiye?
Manik - Nahi. I'm not eating. I haven't been working out. So I'm good with just one dessert.
Nandini - Okay.
Manik - Take some for Rishabh, Chachi and Chacha too. Rishabh ko last time woh cookies and cream ka flavour accha laga tha.
Nandini - I'm getting some for the butlers also. They really like the mango ice-cream.
Manik - I'm sure ghar pe hoga ice cream. Don't get them separately.
Nandini - Nahi hai. Last time maine hi last tub finish kiya tha.
When they had finally picked up all the ice-cream, Manik was about to pay the ice-cream vendor when Nandini stopped him.
Nandini - Manik, it's my turn.
Manik - Forget it na Nandini. Next two times tum turn le lena.
Nandini - No. it's my turn means it's my turn.
