Part 15. Relationship Analytics

Alya, Mukti and Nandini were checking out the dress Alya had gotten for Nandini for tonight. It was Manik's big day and she wanted to look her best to be able to compliment him. But due to her impending exams, she didn't have the time to go shopping for herself and she had therefore requested Alya and Mukti to get her something appropriate for the event. But unfortunately, she didn't see the downside of asking them to get her something and that was the fact that they had got her a tube gown.

Nandini - Alya. How will I pull this off? I'll be super uncomfortable.

Alya - Don't worry Nandini. Look, there's a zip here and it's very strong. It'll hold the dress properly. And I'll pin it up for you too so you're sure. Okay?

Nandini - Are you sure? I mean I don't even have the right lingerie for this.

Alya - Don't worry about that. It comes with the dress.

Nandini still looked a little unsure.

Mukti - Arrey Nandini. Chill baba. It's not such a big deal. Ek kaam karo, ek baar try karlo iss dress ko. Trust me, you'll be fine.

Nandini tried on the royal blue gown and she couldn't help but feel so beautiful in it. The way it accentuated her body and the colour complimented her skin tone, she was in awe of the gown.

Alya - Wow. Look at you. You look just like a princess.

Mukti - What did we do Alya! Nandini ko iss dress mein dekh kar Manik is never going to concentrate on the performance.

Alya started laughing at that while Nandini blushed beautifully.

Nandini - I got a pair of silver heels with this. You think it'll look nice?

Alya - Show me.

Nandini fished out the box of heels from her bag and showed it to Alya.

Alya - Wow. But aren't they too high?

Nandini - Apne friend ko dekha hai? High heels have become a part of my wardrobe now.

Mukti - True.

Alya - Try them on with the dress?

Nandini put on her shoes and completed her look.

Mukti - Trust me, you're going to look amazing tonight.

Alya - Twirl around and show us

Nandini twirled around a little bit in her extravagant gown on Alya's request but suddenly, she felt a sharp pain on her ankle which she had hurt a couple of weeks ago. Maybe the high heels were hurting her ankle a little bit. But as soon as she walked a bit more, it didn't hurt her as much. Maybe she just imagined it. She had not worn heels in more than a couple of weeks now and she'll get used to this after a while.

She finally decided to get out of the dress now so it doesn't get spoilt. As soon as she came out of the washroom changed, she could hear Manik calling out to her at the top of his voice.

Manik - Nandini... Nandini... Kahaan ho yaar?

Nandini - Kya hai Manik. Kyu chilla rahe ho tum?

Manik - Kahaan chali jaati ho baar baar?

Nandini - Kya hua?

Manik - I don't know. Yeh saare butlers tumhari baat kaise samajh jaate hai? Main kabse bol raha hu but they can't do one thing right. Tum hi samjhao inhe.

Nandini - Kya karna hai unhe?

Manik - I need them to ensure no wires are left loose on the stage. No one should trip on the stage during the performance and the sound needs to be adjusted. Ek ajeeb sa disturbance hai in the speakers. Some wire isn't fixed properly. But these guys don't know how to fix this at all.
