Part 68. Life is a Lie

I know it's been very long and I know you guys have been waiting for long. All I can say is I'm very sorry. I had hit a major writers block and just couldn't pen down this part. Although I've tried to write this, this isn't my best work. But I just decided to write it because it's been a while!

It was 10 am in the morning and both Manik and Nandini had woken up but both were sleep deprived given that they slept late the previous night. Manik, although had woken up was just too lazy to get out of bed and Nandini was dragging her feet from the bathroom to the wardrobe and simultaneously asking Manik to get out of bed.

Nandini - Manik, come on. Get up. It's already 10. Musicana is starting today. Don't you have to reach college?

Manik - Chill Nandini. My performance is not today. It's just the opening night and this time, we don't even have to perform on the opening night. The principal has arranged for some celebrity to come this time.

Nandini - But today is your technical rehearsal na? Kitne baje college pohochna hai?

Manik - At 3. So I have time.

Nandini - And when is your actual performance?

Manik - We wanted to perform last. So our performance is on Saturday on the finale night.

Nandini - So you still have 2 days.

Manik - I'm not lazy okay. We barely slept last night. And my whole body hurts. You slept on me all night!

Nandini walked towards him to the bed and contrary to his promise, he did pull Nandini straight into his lap.

Manik - What?

Nandini - You promised!

Manik - I promised to not pull you into bed, which I didn't. I pulled you onto my lap. I didn't promise I won't do that.

Nandini - Har cheez ka loophole hai na tumhare paas? Just because you're going to become a businessman now, you will use all these tricks on me?

Manik - You 're the one who said I was good at it. So why not?

Nandini - Why practice it on me?

Manik - I practice it to ensure I gain from it. And right now, you being so close to me, wrapped in my arms is the biggest profit I can ever earn.
