"Earth to Harley." Trinity laughed, waving the spoon from her cereal in front of Harley's face. Harley blinked quickly, trying to stop the fantasy from yesterday from replaying in her head for the thousandth time today. "Uh y-yeah, what's up?"
"Distracted?" Trinity raised an eyebrow and she nodded slightly without thinking. "I mean, no. No I'm not distracted." "Yeah sure," Trinity smirked, eating a spoonful of froot loops, "So where'd you go after the meeting?" "I uh," Harley bit her lip in thought, "Joba and I needed to talk for a bit so we agreed to just take an Uber together." Trinity looked at her quizzically. "What'd you guys need to talk about?" "He was trying to convince me to collab with them." Harley looked down at her nails, chipping away her black nail polish.
"Okay, can I just tell you how I see it?" "You know I like directness." Harley nodded so Trinity said, "I think it's clear that there's something going on between you two." Harley huffed. "Just leave it alone." "I'm being direct," Trinity studied her, "And I just want you to be careful." "You're telling this to me?" Harley studied her and Trinity let out a small laugh. "Yes. I see how you look at him and I know this sounds stupid and cliche, but people really do crazy things for love."
"Woah, woah. Love?" Harley's eyes widened, gesturing her to wait a second. Yes, she was definitely attracted to Joba. And yeah, maybe she liked certain quirks of his but this was never going past easy sex with him. Anyway, it was supposed to be a one time thing. She couldn't change her mind now...could she? But the way that he'd kissed her and the way that their bodies had mo- "Harley, hello." Trinity said once more and she blinked.
"Shit sorry, sorry. What were you saying?" Trinity sighed. "I was just saying that it just seems that you two are into each other. That's all. But be careful for your heart and for the group." "You don't need to tell me twice." Harley got up at the sound of her coffee dispensing. They were quiet for a second until Trinity said, "So did Joba convince you to collab with Brockhampton?" "Um," well maybe the sex with him had, "Yeah maybe. But I wanna talk about it with everyone before we make the final decision." "Really?" Trinity's eyebrows were raised in surprise and Harley nodded slightly. Could she look past her differences with Kevin?
"I'm starting to think I might be acting a little...stupid." "Obviously," Trinity smirked and Harley rolled her eyes, "But I'm glad you're coming around to the idea. I think Chris and Kelly are right by it being mutually beneficial." "I'm still nervous." Harley shrugged with a soft sigh. Nothing scared her. Except for Brockhampton. "Why's that?" Trinity studied her. "I-I don't know." "Do you think it's because they're our biggest competition? You might feel a little threatened."
"You don't?" Harley asked with wide eyes. "No," Trinity laughed, "I don't at all. We're two totally different groups. Our music may have its similarities but at its core, our work is unique to us." "Really?" Harley swallowed. "Yes. Hell yes," Trinity covered Harley's hand, "No one can do it like us." "You-you might be right," Harley groaned, "God now I feel so stupid."
"Don't. Kevin feels the exact same way and I know that being the leader comes with a lot of pressure." "Then what are we gonna do?" "Well, he needs to know that no one can do it like Brockhampton. Someone needs to spell it out for him." "Like you did for me." Harley nodded and she agreed. "Exactly." Harley was quiet for a second before she said, "This...realization doesn't mean that there's an immediate truce between Brockhampton and Fortydust."
"What? Why not?" "Because Kevin hasn't figured his shit out and until then, I'm gonna have to deal with his bullshit." "I guess that's fair but I still wish you two would just get along." "I know but you know he starts a lot of our arguments." "You could be a little less threatening." "Trinity." "Harley." They both stared at each other until Harley huffed.
"Fine, maybe you're right." "It's okay to be dominant, you just need to know when and where to use that," Trinity smirked, "Special little quality of yours. Especially if we're gonna be working together." Harley rolled her eyes, taking a sip from her dark coffee. "We don't even know if Kevin's gonna agree to do it." "He's not the only one in the group though." Trinity wiggled her eyebrows. "But we don't know how their dynamic is. All the guys could just listen to everything he says without a fight."
