Harley scrolled through her tagged posts, looking at all of the images of Joba that had been popping up recently. She had just woken and was tucked into bed, not ready to face the real world again.

Seventeen magazine had written about the possibility of Joba and her being together and it was making Harley feel a little sick to her stomach.

The constant reminder of what could have been was lingering in her mind and she couldn't shake the feeling that she'd made a mistake. Or worse...that how she felt was more powerful than she was admitting.

Swallowing back the emotion that clung thickly in the back of her throat, Harley opened up another article from Teen Vogue.

"Brockhampton's Joba (Russell Boring) and Fortydust's Harley Dixon seem to be in a relationship, according to their post rival fan base. Both groups recently released an ep called Friends Now which literally means what you think it does: they're friends, no longer rivals. Kevin (Brockhampton's leader) and Harley had previously been seen at an awards show fighting (you could check out our article for that here) and fans were concerned that this would ruin their image. However months later, they're proving everyone wrong by releasing Friends Now. The ep features a wide range of genres including a slow ballad called Crayons, where Joba and Harley sing romantically to each other. Of course, producing such a heartfelt song would only start rumors, but are fan speculations right? Weeks ago Harley Dixon posted a photo of herself holding a wine glass where she captioned it, "Your main one." And in Brockhampton's 2017 song "Face" Joba sang, "I just wanna be your main one." Is this an odd coincidence or a valuable piece of evidence, we don't know for sure, but fans seem to think it makes perfect sense. "I honestly believe they're dating. Makes sense why they're all suddenly friends and working together." A reddit user, sirhorknee stated. Although pictures were not taken, another Fortydust fan saw Joba and Harley out on a Boardwalk together. No one knows for sure, but they could have been possibly hanging out since it was the weeknd of the release. Joba has been seen liking Harley's most recent posts and fans are loving it-"

And then Harley turned her phone off.

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." She knew that there wasn't a way to prove any of the shit Teen Vogue had noted but she still felt this urge to...cry. Harley wouldn't be able to handle the daily reminders of Joba. And she kept replaying what he'd said to her before she stormed out of his house. "Don't walk alone." He was still concerned for her safety after everything she'd said to him.

Harley's lips trembled as she looked through her missed calls. Joba's number ran up and down the list, making her grimace. He'd been calling her once a day at the same hour, but every time she went to pick up, Harley reminded herself why she doubted answering in the first place. Though she could picture him now, sitting down to make the call so that they could talk this through. So that they'd get back together and really become something more. Harley could see his eyes closed in anticipation while he mumbled to himself in prayer, hoping she'd pick up. And then Harley never did, making him toss his phone onto his desk and move away from it.

"You're helping him, Harley." She mumbled to herself before crawling out of bed. She just needed to get up and do something more than moping around like she'd been doing for the past couple of days.

Harley glanced back down at the missed calls once more before shutting her phone off and throwing it into her desk door. She needed time without her phone for a bit.

As Harley walked into the kitchen, she noticed Trinity scrolling through her phone while eating an apple. "God I'm so sick of fucking phones!" Harley grumbled angrily under her breath and Trinity looked over wearily. "What is wrong with you?" "I'm-I'm just so tired of the news lately."
