Her feet getting tickled jolted Roxie out of a deep sleep. Eoin laughed at her as she wiggled to get free from him.
"Merry Christmas, Ro."
"Merry Christmas you big meenie." She pulled her feet away from him and tucked them under her.
"Will you come spend Christmas day with my family? Me ma does a dinner, it's not a big deal, just the three of us, my gran, aunt and uncle and some cousins."
"Yeah, I want to come."
He smiled a big smile at her then he reached to the foot of the bed, grabbing a wrapped gift and handed it to her. She sighed and opened the present up."Eoin, it's beautiful." She said pulling out a dark purple knit scarf.
"I thought it'd look nice on you." He said with a proud smile. She rolled her eyes and straddled his lap, kissing the tip of his nose.
"Thank you. I love it."
"I think I love you." He said softly, his hands holding her by her waist.
"You love me? She asked, her tone a little more high pitch then normal.
Eoin winced, "Have I just gone and put my foot in it?" He asked as she jumped off the bed and started pacing the room.
"We've only know each other a few days and you love me?"
"I said I think. Doesn't that count for something? You can't tell me you aren't feeling something."
"I don't know, maybe. A little bit."
A smile started across Eoin's lips, "So, where does this leave us?"
"I really like you and you really like me. Let's just leave it at that for now."
"I could live with that." He said with a laugh. "Should we get up then?" He changed the subject. She nodded and rummaged through her suitcase.
"What should I wear to your mum's?" She asked. She turned to face Eoin who was sitting up in the bed shirtless, since Roxie was wearing his shirt.
"Whatever you want." He stretched and rolled out of the bed. He pulled a pair of jeans and a long sleeved green shirt out of his bag, then put them on.
"How's this?" She asked, wearing a pair of black jeans and a cozy beige sweater. She wrapped her new scarf around her neck for a final touch.
"You look perfect."
After a nice brunch with her family, Eoin and Roxie went over to Eoin's house to grab his presents for his family, then headed on their way to his mums.
There were all ready people there when they arrived and Roxie felt incredibly nervous to meet Eoin's family. His sister's request rang in the back of her mind as they entered into his childhood home. As if he was able to sense it, he held her hand to calm her down.
"My sweet boy! Merry Christmas!" His mother said, wrapping him in a big hug. "And this must be Roxie." She added, hugging her as well. "Goodness, you're gorgeous." His mother took Roxie's face in her hands. She had warm hands and smelled like home cooking. "You must call me Susan." She told Roxie. She brought her into the living room and introduced her to all the family members that were around.
Eoin rested his hand on Roxie's lower back while chatting with family members in an effort to keep her calm.
"Do you want to see my old room?" He asked in her ear. She nodded and followed him down the hall into a small bedroom.
"This is cute." She giggled, holding up a small stuffed animal that was sitting on his bed.
"You're cute." He said, taking her hands and pulling her towards him.
She swatted him away, "I'm not sleeping with you while your grandmother is down the hall." She hissed while he kissed along her neck. "I'm serious this time. Its not happening today." She freed herself from his arms and stepped away from the bed.
Eoin put his hands up in defeat and followed her back out to the main room.
