Roxie grabbed her floppy hat and her sunscreen before heading out to the pool. She was happy that her friends had convinced her to take this trip with them. She was headed towards the pool to join them there. As she approached she noticed them in a very intense conversation and when they noticed her, they all came over to her.
"So, we think we should go get something to eat." Grace said as Mamrie and Hannah stood behind her, seemingly blocking something behind them.
"We just had lunch, like forty five minutes ago?" She replied, trying to get past them.
"Stop. Eoin's here." Mamrie said, moving so Roxie could see past her. Sure enough she saw Eoin laying on a towel reading a book.
"I'm going to go say hi." She noticed her friends all exchange a look, "Guys, I'll be fine."
She made her way over, "Eoin." She said. It had been seven months since she had seen him.
"Roxie." He said with a big smile. He jumped up and hugged her. It felt so nice to be in his arms. "How are you, Love. You changed your hair. I like it."
Roxie's hand went up to her now brown and shoulder length hair. "I'm well, how are you?"
"Good." He flashed a big smile at her. "You're here with the girlies?" He asked, waving over at them.
"Yeah. Who are you here with?" She asked, a little worried at what his answer was going to be.
"Some mates from work. We're on hiatus."
"That's nice." They stood awkwardly for a moment. "I should get back to them, it was really nice seeing you." She smiled and went back to her friends.
They walked away and her friends waited until they were out of Eoin's sight before they started talking about what had just happened.
Later that night Roxie decided to stay in instead of going out with the girls. She was surprised at how easy it was for her to convince them to go with out her. She ordered some room service and ate it in her bed, then her room phone rang.
"Hello?" She said, her heart leapt as she waited to hear who it was.
"Hey Ro. Fancy a walk?"
"Yeah, I do."
She quickly changed into a pair of jean shorts and a tank top, then ran down to the front lobby. He was waiting for her and smiled when he saw her.
They made their way to the beach and walked and talked. He slipped his hand into hers and held it tight.
"I've been watching your show." He told her. "You're very, and you've got a book deal, that's fabulous."
Roxie blushed. "You directed a movie, that's a pretty big deal too."
Eoin smiled at her. "God, I've missed you."
"Eoin." She said softly.
"Don't tell me you haven't missed me a little, it'll break my heart." He joked, but Roxie could hear a seriousness in his voice.
"Of course I miss you." She knew Eoin was going to kiss her and she let it happen. His lips felt warm and familiar against hers. "Eoin, I'm an idiot. I don't need to live in LA, I wanna live where I'm going to be happy, and I'm happiest when I'm with you. But, only if there's an internet connection."
He smiled and kissed her again.
She snuck back into her room late in the night, only to find Hannah, Grace and Mamrie laying on her bed.
"And where were you, young lady? Off kissing that gorgeous hunk?" Grace asked. Roxie blushed and bit her lip.
"We kinda got back together." She said sheepishly, making them all squeal.
