I awoke in a pristine, tidy room. It was quite small, and I had to admit considering I spent a week in a jar I hadn't felt too comfortable with tight spaces. It was also very bright, so I strode over to the window where the blinding sun was seeping through and shut the curtains. The room became darker and I smiled. This is better. I heard a knock on the door, and I opened it to find a huge man with dark brown tangled hair on his head and beard, he wore a moleskin brown coat and held a pink umbrella in his hand nervously. He was at least twice the size of me, and it was obvious by his scent that he wasn't human. It took all my control not to run him through with my sword. He grinned at me and said, "you'll be Nico then?"

"yeah. And your Hagrid?" I ask cautiously. If I've learnt anything from giants, it's that they're easily offended.

He grinned in reply and said "c'mon we'll get you yer stuff then" I threw on my black leather jacket and followed him out of the pub called Leaky Cauldron and into an alleyway that had just enough space for him to squeeze by.

I looked at him "I thought you were supposed to take me shopping or something. Why are we stood in front of some old trash cans?"

Hagrid chuckled and said, "it's called 'bins' in England and this, this is the entrance to Diagon alley." And he took his pink umbrella and tapped on some bricks on the left of the trash cans. The wall started to crack and part ways to form an overhead arch. We stepped over and I looked around. I shut my eyes almost immediately. There was too much colour for my liking, and it reminded me of the lotus casino, where there wasn't a dull space anywhere. There was a lot of people too and the noise made me sway slightly.

"a'right there kid?" Hagrid asked concerned.

"yeah fine. Just going to get some getting used too. And listen, I know you're supposed to take me to all these shops, but I reckon I can find it on my own. You don't need to bother sticking with me."

He didn't particularly look like he wanted to and said, "I'm not sure that's such a great idea." A frown on his brow. I looked at him reassuringly.

"I'm used to being on my own. If you could just do me a favour, and turn this list into Greek so I can actually have a chance at reading it? It's my first language." I added and his face cleared from confusion as he waved him umbrella over the parchment and it turned to the familiar script. He gave me my ticket and with a goodbye he left turning the corner.

A wand. I needed a wand so I set off and saw a shop with a picture of about 100 wands all over the front so nobody could see inside. This looked like the right place. And suddenly some sort of silver Einstein guy came out from behind the counter.

"Hogwarts? Come too buy a wand?" he questioned whilst disappearing down a column, returning with a dozen or so wands. He looked at me and gave me the first wand. "try this."

This is going to be a long day.

After we tried nearly the whole shop, I found the perfect wand. It was pitch black with a skull on the hilt. Would you call it a hilt I'm not sure? It had a core of Threstral hair, whatever that meant, and was bonded by water from the river Lethe. I paid 13 Galleons for my wand and headed out the shop. Thank the gods that was over. I was headed to get my robes when I saw a huge crowd gathered outside the book shop. Well, I needed books too so why not go see.

So, I decided to try and see what was happening. There was a staircase that lead to a small balcony that overlooked the desired area, so I sprinted up. I looked down and saw a man in blue robes, smiling at the crowd with a vane look.

"filthy mud-blood."

I turned and saw a boy with platinum blond hair. He seemed to have noticed me too because a second later he said, "who the hell are you?"
