The next day I didn't mention anything said in the dungeons and I don't think Percy did either. of course, there was the chance he forgot. Percy and Jason didn't have to go to lessons, and apparently, they were staying until I went back, because Clarisse and Reyna had threatened that if they came back without me, they'd never see daylight again.
I lost track of time talking to them and shadow travelled to DADA and the shadows had released me right in the middle of the classroom in front of a huge, blank test paper with 9/10 written on it. I stared at it, and I think it was safe to say why I was confused, and that confusion only grew when I heard someone yell, "ridiculous" with a ridiculous accent behind me and the test was shredding itself up, ending up in tiny scraps on the floor.
Professor Lockhart didn't seem surprised to see me he just yelled, "Di Angelo you're up!" I stared at him, before turning to the pile of paper on the floor not in the least expecting what I saw; Bianca. I stumbled backwards as she began to speak.
"you left me to die!" she yelled, tears in her eyes, "you let him kill me, I hate you. You were so caught up in yourself, you're just a spoilt selfish brat! You replaced me, I waited for you and you took Hazel out of that place-" she was cut off and I was fighting to keep the tears from surfacing.
She was grabbed roughly and lifted up by a huge metal robot. The one that killed her in the first place. I stood there shocked, why was this moment replaying itself, it's exactly how Percy had described it.
The giant clump of metal clenched the hand that Bianca was wrapped up in, and she screamed as the life was squeezed out of her. Suddenly the robot began to change. It grew taller and more gruesome than ever. Huge throbbing red and blue veins erupted every couple of seconds. His rough skin covered in blisters that popped releasing more baby monsters. Tartarus. In Hogwarts. How? I stumbled backwards hearing the screams of some of the students. I brought out my dagger, snarling at it. I leapt forward and I knew instantly something was wrong because he didn't move. Nevertheless, I shoved my dagger in his throat dragging it down, leaving a large rip in him and he dissolved, his essence floating towards an open closet, that shut with a slam.
I was aware of everyone staring at me like I had done something crazy, and honestly at that moment I didn't care. All I cared about was what the hell, that thing was doing here, and I intended to find out.
"what was that doing here?" I growled giving my famous death glare at the professor. He shuddered before looking away, attempting to smile, "that, my young, inexperienced boy," (seriously, does this guy want to get stabbed), "was a boggart. It takes shape of your biggest fear."
Oh. That's what Tartarus and Bianca was doing here. but now everyone knows my biggest fear, they can use it against me. Although, Bianca was dead, and she chose rebirth so they could in no way find her and how they'd bring Tartarus to me, without getting killed by him as well I don't know. A couple of people were still shaken up by the horrible image planted in their minds and rushed out the classroom as Lockhart mumbled, "class dismissed."
I staggered out into the hallway slowly, unbalanced only to be met by my friends who instantly came to my side. I however, had no interest in being with them, mainly because I didn't want to hurt them. People always told me that when I get angry, I tend to do rash things and I don't want to lose the friends I just made. I shadow travelled to the forbidden forest and summoned around 30 skeletons.
"well, what are you waiting for? Attack!" I commanded. They came at me lightning speed, I wasn't scared; I knew that if things did get out of hand, I could open the earth and throw them in. or I could manipulate them into dropping their weapons and tangle themselves up or something, considering they're made out of bones. I found out a couple of weeks ago I could manipulate the movement of bones, and therefore people, and my power had become stronger the more I used it. I wasn't really thinking about what I was doing, I was clouded by my anger. After I got bored of destroying the self-constructing skeletons, I shoved them back to the underworld and began chopping roughly at the trees and bushes around me, not particularly caring what I hit. Stupid boggart. Why had I even bothered to go to that class. I could've talked to the guys for a bit longer, then come back for divination which we had after lunch. I realised it was probably time for me to head back, as I had visibly calmed down, although inside I was still seething. One thing had bothered me though. if the boggart showed your worst fear, whose was the test paper that scored 9/10, and how dumb can someone get to say that was what they feared most?
