The whole room goes silent as shock waves move through the room. No one saw this coming.
Nessa: *absolutely stunned* “Josh…”
Josh: “Nessa, you are my best friend in the world and everything we’ve built together has turned into the things I value most in this life. Nessa starts crying halfway through and jumps up into his arms before he can even finish his speech. The whole room erupts into applause and you are so happy for them, but can’t help but feel a little sad that a moment like that may never come for you.

After the party dies down, Nessa is sitting in the kitchen showing the girls her ring
Addison: “Oh my God it’s literally perfect!”
Avani: *laughing* “I wonder if Anthony knows me well enough to even be able to pick out a ring I would love… that makes me so nervous”
Olivia: “Kio and I are soooo not even close to that yet, but I’d like to think he knows me that well”
Nessa: “What about you Y/N?”
Y/N: *trying to hold back tears* “I don’t think it matters really. Jaden made it clear to me that he isn’t really interested in anything serious”
Addison: “What? He literally screamed I love you from the balcony a few weeks ago and you’ve been joined at the hip ever since”
Y/N: “Yeah… and it’s been amazing but I don’t know if it will ever go beyond this. He drops the L-word all the time, but can’t bring himself to refer to me as his girlfriend so I think wife is a bit of a stretch.”
Nessa: “Sweetheart, you have got to talk to him. He came home weeks ago and you are so close now”
