56- Delivery Day

J: "Where is Nessa? I thought she said she was in labor?"

Josh breaks down and wraps his arms around Jaden's shoulders and starts to cry hysterically. Jaden looks at you over his shoulder and had no idea what to do because he's never seen his friend like this.

Y/N: "Josh, sweetheart, talk to me. What's happening?"

Josh: *still in tears*
"Her water broke and the doctor was checking her to see if they could give her meds to slow everything down and there was blood everywhere."

You and Jaden look horrified. You don't know much about birth, but you didn't think it was like this.

Josh: "She was in so much pain and they said the baby's oxygen was dropping. They took her back for emergency surgery."

The nurse rushes in and announces that Josh can come back and watch from an observation bay if he wants to see his son born.

J: "Is there anything we can do?"

Nurse: "She is losing a lot of blood. If you can get as many people possible tested and donating that will help."

Everyone arrives to the hospital and you try to explain the situation

Y/N: "She's lost so much blood and the best bet is family donating but her parents live out of state, so we all need tested in hopes one of us is a match."

Everyone takes turns getting blood drawn and Anthony and Jaden are both matches!! They head back with the nurse to donate as much as possible. Everyone else sits around nervously waiting for an update.

Y/N: *stops a nurse who is passing by and hands her Jaden's phone*
"Excuse me, my boyfriend is back donating blood is it possible you can get this to him?"

She agrees and heads back through the doors. You turn around and everyone is staring at you in shock.

Kio: "Boyfriend? That's new."

Y/N: "I guess it is."

Griffin: "So is it official now? Thank god!"

Avani: *quietly clapping and squealing*
"I knew our boy had it in him!"

Something in you tells you to turn and make sure Bryce handled the newsflash OK and you find him cuddled up in the chair with Addison watching a video on his phone together. They are both always in their own little world and all about each other. Everything happens for a reason and you smile knowing you played a part in them finding their way back together.

Jaden walks back into the room hiding his arm

Avani: "Where's Anthony?"

J: "He was still a little lightheaded so they want him to sit down for a while. You can go back with him if you want."

As Avani leaves, Jaden asks if you will walk outside with him.

J: "Thank you for sending my phone back, Josh had texted me."

Y/N: "Is Nessa okay?"

J: "I don't know. He just sent me her parents number and asked me to call them."

Y/N: "Are you okay with that? I can call if you would like."

J: *handing you the phone*
"Thank you. They took so much blood I'm still a little dizzy."

As the phone rings, Jaden adds: "I don't know how people do this baby stuff at any age much less as young as they are."

You can't question him or respond because Nessa's mom answers and you have to explain to her the emergency. After you hang up, you and Jaden head back into the room. Your need for an update was more important than drudging up more questions about whether Jaden's comment meant he would never want a family.

Josh walked into the room looking absolutely drained and everyone held their breath waiting to hear word on Nessa and the baby.
