The next morning you wake up to an iced coffee on the nightstand and a note

You aren't even almost ready to deal with the emotions of last night so you throw on your bikini and head to the pool with your iced coffee. When you get outside, the boys are having a pool day minus Anthony, who is with Avani visiting her family and Jaden who is filming a video. You turn to head back in, not wanting to interrupt when Josh calls out to you
Josh: "Hey! Y/N… come back and swim with us"

Bryce: *swimming over to the edge you're standing by* "you know we would be stoked to have you hang with us stopppp"

Bryce: *with an embarrassed but flirty smile splashes you* "Oh shut up and get in loser"
You have the best morning blasting music and enjoying drama free fun with the boys. Nessa comes over and steals away Josh. Quinton and Griffin head out to pick up lunch for everyone.
You're left with just Kio and Bryce when you decide to climb out and lay in the sun for a while. It is such a beautiful day and the hot rays beating down on your tanned skin has a way of making you remember what you'd spent all day trying to forget. Bryce can sense something is wrong and plops down in the chair next to yours.
Bryce: "Everything ok girl?"
You squint and look up at him intending to stick with the standard 'Im good' but your face betrays you as tears start welling up
Bryce: *moving to the edge of your chair* "Hey hey its all gonna be ok… what's wrong? Talk to me…"
You spill about last night while tears stream down your face. You leave out what went down between you and Jaden that led to the big talk. You know the talk that pretty much said he'd never want anything but friends with benefits
Bryce: "Jaden is complicated. Like he is such a solid dude and will stand by you thru anything but this is a big reason he and Mads got so toxic."
You're shocked. You always assumed it was Mads acting crazy that caused their on/off status. After all, the crazy side is all you'd ever seen
Bryce: "He is doing such big things with his career finally and I think he gets scared of prioritizing anything else and missing out on his dream"
Wow… that made so much sense. You can see, for the first time how Mads must have been feeling. You're lost in thought when Bryce pushing your hair out of your face brings you back to the moment. He grabs your chin and forces you to look him in the eyes
Bryce: "You are beautiful and sweet and smart as hell… JADEN is the lucky one not the other way around and if he can't see or show that then he is the screwed up one"
Kio: *swims over* "and that's on PERIOD"

Everyone has a laugh at Kio's interjection. Bryce wipes the tears off your face, stands up and kisses you on the top of the head before pulling you up to stand
Bryce: "Come on babygirl… let's swim"
Y/N: "I'm too depressed to sw….."
Bryce interrupts you by grabbing you around the waist and jumping in the pool with you. The Griff and Quinton get home with lunch and you spend the rest of the afternoon forgetting your broken heart.
It's getting dark so you check your phone wondering what happened to Jaden… nothing.
