Serpent

Betty Cooper was born on the South Side of town, living with an alcoholic mother in a trailer, until she ran away to couch surf and live in different places for a while. She was your stereotypical 'bad girl', never really fitting in and not giving a fuck about what anybody else said. On the opposite side of the spectrum was Jughead Jones, her boyfriend. He was born and raised on the North Side - with a good father and a great younger sister. He was a all around lovely guy, who literally wouldn't even hurt a fly. Despite their differences, the two could hardly ever be seen apart; it was almost like they were made for each other.

Betty and Jughead start to see less and less of each other when Betty's mother goes to prison for covering up a murder, and she has to move back into her old trailer. Jughead had been there a night when the Serpents had visited, and told Betty she had a place there. After her boyfriend's concerned words she had promised she wouldn't join them, though a few weeks later after some rough days, Betty is branded with the green ink of a Serpent tattoo and wears a leather Serpent jacket. The only problem was she was yet to tell her boyfriend.
