"Hi, I'm Attorney Choco Jimeniz. I am the attorney provided by the government to handle your case, Ms. Nadine Domingo."

I just cross my arms and my legs as sign of I am not to pleased meeting him.

I rolled my eyes when I saw him smiled at me.

"Are you aware of what they are accusing to you, Ms. Domingo?"

I have the right to remain silent whenever I want too. Even though he is my lawyer right now, I still don't want to talk to clear my name.

How I hate something like this! I hate being in this kind of place. Four walls, two chairs, a table, and one door as our entrance and exit. I've been here for how many times but, I just ended up not staying here for long... because I have him.

'Dominique.'

He seems to be friendly and yet, serious in his work. I think, this attorney in front of me is on his late 20's but, his physical apperance says that he is still on early 20's.

I wonder what is his secret in life to maintain a good posture and have a good looking face.

"Magtititigan lang ba tayo dito?" He ask.

"Attempted murder to John Heindrich Javien and the evidence is clear on his hand. He got shot by the gun owned by yours," nagsimula siyang magsalita.

"Where is my gun?" I ask. Not minding about what he is talking about.

"Seriously?"

"Yes. So, where is my gun?"

"I-I don't know. Basta nasa pangangalaga ng mga pulis ngayon."

I don't know what to say to him.

That gun is mine. Mine.

"Do you know that attempted murder is a serious criminal offense that carries significant criminal penalties, including substantial prison time?

I ask him.

"Through investigation."

"Then, do it. You must prove to them that I am innocent."

"Thats why I am asking for your cooperation in your case," he said.

It is suffocating me.

"In order to be convicted of attempted murder, the prosecution must prove the elements of attempted murder beyond a reasonable doubt. Elements of attempted murder such as intention, and action or the what we called direct step. But, there are several legal defenses that we can use such as lack of intent, lack of substantial steps, self defense, impossibility, and renunciation or withdrawal of plan of killing someone else," he stopped talking and looked at me in my eyes, "So... I am going to ask you, Ms. Domingo. Are pleading to be guilty or not?"
