Beneath the glaring lights
Her smile gleams a brilliant shade of white
Eyes dark and empty of life
Glittering like the steel of a knife
Her voice is never heard
Nothing more than whispered words
Masks cover their eyes
As they whisper their beautiful lies
A whispered goodbye
Rings out into the night
Tears fall as she realizes
Love was just a pretense
Beneath the glaring lights
Her smile gleams a brilliant shade of white
Eyes dark and empty of life
Glittering like the steel of a knife
