Surrounded by shadows
Trying so hard to breathe
Instead I'm drowning
I wonder where you are
If you will ever find me
Softly I whisper, "Please save me."
My heart beats at a frantic pace
Making it hard to speak
But still for you I scream
Reaching for you
On my knees I'm begging for your attention
My eyes pleading for just a smile in my direction
I scream your name
But instead of coming closer you go the other way
Leaving me to drown inside of myself
