"He's surrounded... by the Ten Commandments!" Hendrickson exclaims.
"H... Hey, Gil! That's... Chief Holy Knight Dreyfus!" Howzer cries.
"No, it's not." I say sharply. "He's been possessed."
"Possessed?" Arthur asks curiously.
"Yes..." I respond. "By a demon named Fraudrin, Commandment of Selflessness. But thank gods Melascula's alive."
Ban looks at me, confused.
"I thought you hated her."
I nod. "I do. But she's the one who cast the revival spell on Elaine, so... as long as she's alive..."
Everyone goes silent, before Elizabeth speaks up.
"Please, Gilfrost! Teleport Meliodas-sama to us!" she cries.
"I can't!" he exclaims. "I would have to go there and retrieve him myself... the Ten Commandments would never give me the chance!"
Elizabeth's face falls into one of despair, and I watch as Meliodas unsheathes Lostvayne, slicing at Zeldris, but the demon, anticipating this, cuts his arm clean off.
Oh my gosh, he looks so cute!
Not the time!
"Meliodas is going to have a hard time." I say, looking around for Order. "Zeldris's sword skills are as good as ever."
"Wait." Ban stops me. "That's Zeldris?!!"
I sigh. "Unfortunately. I'm basically the only one who can stand up to him in a sword fight."
Zeldris holds Melio's arm up, resheathing his sword, but Meliodas, undeterred, kicks him, sending him flying back.
I hold my hand up to my mouth, and Elaine notices this.
"It's necessary, Salomea." she tells me quietly.
"I know," I say softly. "but still..."
Meliodas attempts to reattach his arm using dark magic, but Zeldris does a backflip, landing on the arm.
Still cute!
Again, NOT the time!
"Fuck." I hiss. "This is even worse."
"Do it." Zeldris snarls, and Grayroad casts a spell.
Meliodas watches as the chains slide onto his arms, confused, before they disappear.
Melio attempts to attack Zeldris again, but the demon skilfully dodges each attack, before one causes Zeldris to stumble, releasing his hold on Melio's arm.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" I yell, causing everyone to look at me. "I just realised what that spell is!"
"What is it?!" Gilfrost asks breathlessly, and I sigh.
"It's something known as Binding Resentment." I explain, as Melio appears back in the circle of the Commandments. "Even if we teleport him out, he'll reappear in that circle. Unless..."
"Unless what?"
"Well... now Meliodas must defeat the Ten Commandments... or be defeated by them."
"Don't talk like that, Salomea-san!" Elizabeth cries, and I bow my head, seeing Derieri use Combo Star.
I whip my head around wildly, looking for Order.
I need to do something!
Meliodas flies back, unable to use his arms, and Monspeet casts Hell's Phoenix on him, only for Melio to leap through the flames, slitting Monspeet's throat.
"That's good, right?" Hawk asks me. "Right?"
I shake my head. "Unfortunately not. All high-ranking demons, including the Commandments have seven hearts. The only way of killing them is to destroy all seven."
Everyone's face falls.
"But..." I continue. "Melio is one such high-ranking demon. It won't be easy to kill him."
I watch as all the Commandments take turns attacking Meliodas.
Where the fuck is Order? I need to help Melio!
"Brother Meliodas." Zeldris says darkly. "With your death, part one of our revenge is complete."
"If not for you and Salomea," he continues. "we would have never suffered such humiliation. It was the betrayal from the two of you that made us Demons the losers in the war."
Everyone looks to me, but I keep my eyes on the orb (well, specifically Zeldris, but it's not like I'm going to say that) as Meliodas activates Revenge Counter.
"It appears he was merely pretending to be overwhelmed by them." I faintly hear Gowther say. "He must have elected to make that feint as the only feasible way of defeating them all. The amount of magic accumulated during the decisive battle at the Capital is no comparison to the magic he's gathered now. I calculate its force alone to be approximately 30 times as great."
I give a nod.
As Meliodas screams "REVENGE COUNTER!" everything stops.
What?
I narrow my eyes as the smoke clears, only to see Estarossa holding Melio's sword.
Well, shit.
*
"He stopped him... single handedly?!!" Arthur exclaims.
"Listen, Meliodas." Estarossa says in a 'sorrowful' tone. "I really wish I didn't have to do this."
He places his foot on Meliodas's chest, rolling it around painfully.
"Don't you see? It's because I love you."
I sigh. "He really knows how to use his Commandment. Guys, I'm going in."
"B-but you don't even have your weapon, Lady Salomea!" Arthur exclaims. "And you already told us Chaos is ineffective against demons!"
I sigh, turning back to the young King. "I can't let him die, Arthur. He's like a brother to me."
And with that, I teleport myself in.
