Christine POV
Meg, Nadir, her father, and Madame Giry get to us in a little over a week. There is a lot of hugging and crying.
"Meg. Oh Meg. How I missed you!!!" I say hugging her tightly.
"Christine! Look at you. You look amazing!" She exclaims. I chuckle.
"Yup, even after having a baby." Meg breaks the hug.
"What?!" she practically screams. The room goes quiet. It is very awkward. "You had a baby?!"
"Uh...yeah...um..." I start saying before Meg cuts me off.
"Where is it!?" She wants to know where the baby is.
"It's-it's" I almost break down cryng. Erik comes to the rescue.
"The child did not make it..." he tells her firmly. Meg seems to take a step back. All the excitement gone.
"I'm so sorry..." she bites her lip.
"It's okay," I touch her arm. "Because we have a new little one on their way." I touch my belly. Meg grins, but then for a split second she looks unhappy. "Are you okay?" I am concerned.
"I'm fine!" She pulls her smile back up. "Just a little tired." She gives a big loud yawn. Nadir decides to join the conversation.
"Wow you two must have been busy," he says refering to the new baby. He winks and thrusts his hips forward.
"Nadir!" Meg exclaims and cuffs him around the ear.
"Ow! That hurt!" He cries.
"Good! It should have. You arse head!" Meg replies firmly. I chuckle at them. They are so cute together.
"Not that it was untrue. Cause how else would they make a baby?" Nadir tries fighting back his case.
"It doesn't mean you have to blantly put that out there. Those are the things you keep to yourself!" Meg yells at him. Nadir sheepishly grins. Madame Giry just shakes her head in disbelief. Joanathan, Meg's father, chuckles at them "fighting".
Erik wraps his arms around me. I snuggle into his arms. He kisses the top of my head. Meg pipes up.
"Hey Erik! You should sing for us!!!!" She clearly really wants him to. I'm not sure if she ever truly heard him sing.
"Alright, alright. Come with me." We all go to the music room and sit on the couches while Erik sits at the piano. "This one is dedicated to my beautiful wife and angel." He begins.
Somewhere there's a girl
Who's like the shimmer of the wind upon the water
somewhere there's a girl
Who's like the glimmer of the sunlight on the sea
Somewhere there's a girl
Who's like a swell of endless music
Somewhere she is singing
And her song is meant for meAnd her voice
It's sweet as angels sighing
And her voice
It's warm as summer sky
And that sound
It haunts my dreams
And spins me 'round
Until it seems
I'm flying...
Her voice!I can sense her laughter
In the ripple of the waves against the shoreline
I can see her smiling
In the moonlight as it settles on the sand
I can feel her waiting
Just beyond the pale horizon
Singing out a melody too lovely to withstandAnd her voice
It's there as dusk is falling
And her voice
It's there as dawn steals by
Pure and bright, it's always near
All day, all night
And still I hear it calling...
Her voiceStrange as a dream...
Real as the sea...
If you can hear me now
Come set me free...
Come set me free!He finishes and we all applaud. He looked at me the whole time he sang. I blush as he takes my hand and kisses it and then dips me down as if dancing and brings me up and kisses me passionately. Nadir requests a song.
"Meg! You and Christine should sing a song together!" Meg and I both giggle as we both sit on the piano bench together. I play the high notes and Meg plays the low notes. I start singing.
If there are times
You find that you are feeling weak
Lie next to me
I’ll hold you ‘til you fall asleep
At anytime of day
There’s nothing to explain
I’m always on your sideHold on to me
I’ll steal you from the hardest day
Don’t be afraid
You have me here to guide your way
Through storms I will be here
I will not disappear
Always by your sideAlways
Always
Always
AlwaysAnd on my heart
I promise I will see you through
When pain arrives
I’ll be right there to hold on to
With laughter and with prayer
I promise I’ll be there
Always by your sideAt anytime of day
There’s nothing to explain
I’m always on your sideMeg starts her part.
Dry away the tears
Lay aside your fears
No more pain, for my love
I am here, now go to sleepAnd when the angels come
I know that they will treat you well
That they will pull you through
And lift you up from all that's held you downThere's a heaven up there
And it waits just for you
So close your eyes and dream
And there will be a world you once knewA world without the pain
That has stuck with you for far too long
A world that does contain a love like mine
To watch you grow strongAnd when my time arrives
Please wait and make a place for me
For when I do arrive
Your face should be the first face I seeSo dry away the tears
Lay aside your fears
No more pain, for my love
It is timeWe both sing
Now go to sleep
We get a huge round of applause from everyone. It is late now. About 11:00pm. Everyone agrees it's time for bed. Erik and I make our way to our room. We get into bed and turn off the lights."Erik I love you."
"I love you more." he says playing with my hair. I smile.
"I love you most"
We enter the world of dreams.
Yay for Nadir! Lol I love him. He's like a little kid in a man's body. I also love those songs. Erik's song is "Her Voice" from Broadway's The Little Mermaid. The song Meg and Christine sing is Always/Goodnight by Scott Alan. Always is my fav song...sigh...so pretty. My friend at school @s_dolo is learning it with me. Shoutout to her! And thanks to all of you for your endless support. This wouldn't be possible without all of you so kudos to all of you. Also don't forget the cover contest!!!!!!! Love ya! Namaste!
