Although Noah has been to Brad's house before, it's the first time that she was going there as his girlfriend, which made her nervous.

Noah volunteered to help Brad with his bike, and as they were taking it to his house, Noah decided to speak to him.

"I'm nervous, B," Noah said, then Brad looked at her for a second before looking at where they were going.

"About what?" Brad asked, then Noah sighed.

"About what we're going to do later. I only met your mom once and she doesn't even know me well," Noah said, but Brad didn't say anything, instead, they put his bike to where he usually puts it, then he turned to Noah.

"Are you finding me annoying?" Noah asked, then Brad's smile turned to a confused one.

"What? No, of course. I could never be annoyed at you, Noah. Even if you want me to," Brad said, then Noah gave him a small smile.

"I like you, okay? I don't like you just because you're beautiful or good with Cuddles. I like you because you're you, Noah, and I get that you're sometimes scared of people and all, and that's okay," Brad said, then Noah lightly sighed in relief.

"You know that I like you as much as you like me, right?" Noah asked Brad, who smirked.

"Of course you do, princess," Brad said, then they both leaned over and shared a small kiss. They held hands and went inside the house's dining area, where everyone was waiting for them.

"Happy birthday, Brad!" Brad's mom, his brother, James, Tristan, and Noah's grandfather all yelled in unison, then Brad smiled happily as he looked at all of them and around the room, which was decorated simply for their feast.

"Thank you, everyone. It's great to see you all here," Brad said, then they had a small feast. After a while, they heard someone knocking at the door, then Brad's mom stood up and answered it. She came back to the room with someone who Brad wasn't expecting.

"Am I late to the party?" Connor said, then Brad stood up in shock and walked toward Connor, who he hugged. Connor returned it, and when they pulled apart, Brad was still surprised.

"I remembered that it was your birthday this morning, and I had an audition for a band today, so I decided to stop by before I went home," Connor said, then Brad smiled.

"That's nice of you, Con," Brad said, then he introduced Connor to Noah's grandfather, who he met for the first time.

"Wait, you're auditioning for a band, Con?" James asked, then Connor nodded his head.

"Yeah. Apparently some band needed a bass player, but they didn't think that I was good enough, so," Connor said, then Tristan nodded.

"Well, how well do you play bass?" Tristan asked, then Connor shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm alright," Connor said, then Brad nodded his head.

"You should definitely play with us some time," Brad said, then Connor shrugged and smiled. They sat down on the table and had a wonderful conversation about literally anything under the sun, and, from time to time, Noah looked at Brad, whose eyes glistened as he chatted with the people in his close circle.

That's why Brad was full of life; he had a healthy relationship with all the people that were close to his heart.

"By the way, uh, there's something that I want to say to all of you," Brad said, then Noah grew slightly tense in her seat. Brad was just right next to her, so that made her more nervous than ever.
