Never take last good days for granted.

After calling her mom with Brad by her side, Noah confirmed that her parents were coming over in a week, and that she was assigned to pick them up at the airport.

During that entire week of waiting for her parents, Noah decided to draw seven different landmarks from various parts of the world on her sketch pad then color them to give them more life and to make them look more realistic. Every day, Brad would come over once visiting hours in the hospital were done, then he would either bring food, cook something for them, or take her out to his band's rehearsal then hang out with Connor, James, and Tristan. It also helped that they already brought Cuddles back to the house so that Noah wouldn't get lonely.

Working for days straight was, no doubt, draining, so Brad wasn't surprised to see Noah asleep on her bed, her opened sketch pad laying beside her and displaying an unfinished drawing of the Eiffel tower, one of her places that her grandfather wanted to see. Brad smiled to himself as he put down his coffee cup and her onion rings on top of the stool that she would sit on while she did her art.

"Noah? Wake up," Brad said softly as he gently shook the girl awake, then her eyes fluttered as she adjusted to the bright light coming from the window. She then focused on Brad, who was sat on top of her bed.

"You look shattered. Good thing I got you some onion rings," Brad said, then Noah carefully sat up from her bed to look at the things on her stool, then she smiled.

"Thank you very much. What time is it?" Noah asked Brad, who looked at his watch.

"Almost 5:30, why?" Brad said, then Noah sighed before closing her sketch pad and reaching out to grab her purse, which was on her nightstand.

"I have to pick my mom and Anthony up at the airport," Noah said, then Brad nodded his head.

"Do you need company?" Brad asked, then Noah shrugged her shoulders.

"Aren't you tired from taking care of Pops?" Noah asked, then Brad shook his head.

"Not really. Well, I am, but I'm fine. The boys agreed that we won't have band rehearsal today, anyway, so, really, all I'm doing after this is rest," Brad said, then Noah nodded her head.

"Well, if you don't mind, you're always free to come with me," Noah said, then she stood up from her bed after Brad did.

"I'll wait for you in the car? I was thinking that I should drive so you can eat on the way," Brad said, then Noah smiled at him.

"I really don't deserve you," Noah said, then Brad shrugged before getting his coffee cup.

"Don't take too long," Brad said, then Noah responded before he left, then she fixed her hair a little before putting some sneakers on. She grabbed her food and said goodbye to Cuddles before she and Brad set off to the airport.

The ride wasn't awkward at all despite the silence. From time to time, Brad would drink from his coffee, then Noah would take a bite from her rings, even feeding him at one point. The radio was playing the usual pop music, and she even told him about how, one day, it will be his band's songs that would be playing. When they were near the airport, however, things started clicking in.

"I don't know how to face them," Noah mumbled suddenly, making Brad glance at her before turning back to the road.

"It's okay. I'll wait for them there. You can wait here if you want," Brad said, then Noah shook her head as she tapped Brad's thigh once.
