NOAH
I had just arrived at the destination for my audition for young Tony Stark. I had been receiving lots of good luck messages and hopeful wishes. Finn had been sending me lots of supporting messages, wishing me luck and hoping that I do well...but I only had 45 minutes until I was supposed to audition.
At around 10am, I felt my phone buzzing. I saw that Millie was trying to call me.
Millie: Hey Noah
Me: Hey Millie! I've missed you!
Millie: I've missed you too!
Millie: I want to apologise...
Me: Millie...
Millie: No. I was wrong for trying to convince you to stay. You deserve to expand your career.
Me: Well...I'm happy that your on board with me expanding.
Millie: How's California?
Me: It's great!
I heard footsteps coming from down the hallway to my right.
Me: Sorry Mills. I got to go.
Millie: Smash the audition Noah!
I hung up the phone and stood up. The man introduced himself and we walked into the auditorium...but I stood in excitement as I saw my hero standing, waiting for me. ROBERT DOWNEY JR!
"...and you must be Noah Schnapp...from Stranger Things." Robert spoke, shaking my hand.
"It's so nice to meet you" I said, being polite.
"Since you are auditioning for the role of Tony Stark's younger self, we thought it would be a good thing to bring Tony Stark in himself. He has even dressed up like Stark." David spoke, smiling.
"So. Here is a few lines of dialogue. Do you need some time to prepare?" David asked. I looked through the lines.
"Nope. I'm good." I said, placing the script to the side.
"When your ready." David said, excitedly.
I took a deep breath in, smiling.
Young Tony (Me): Who are you?
Tony (Robert): I'm you...from the future.
Young Tony (Me): That's impossible. You look nothing like me.
Tony (Robert): Anyway...
Young Tony (Me): Look. I don't know who the hell you are...but I'm gonna be late for school if you don't leave and get out of my way.
I stopped, seeing as that was the end of the dialogue.
"That was amazing!" David spoke, writing down on his note pad. I got a quick selfie with Robert before smiling. David got up and walked with me.
"We will call you within 24 hours." David said as he led me out of the auditorium.
I walked back to the Cali Hotel and went back to my room. I called my friends.
Millie: How was your audition?!
Sadie: Yeah! Tell us everything!
Me: Well...I started off speechless...
Gaten: Oh no...why?
Me: ROBERT DOWNEY JR WAS THERE!
Caleb: WHAT?!
Me: Yeah! I walked in and I saw Robert in his Tony Stark costume! He knew who I was already! He knew about our show!
Sadie: OMG! THAT'S SO COOL!
Me: Is Finn there?
Gaten: He didn't wanna see-
Millie: -Ignore Gaten. Finn isn't here but I'll tell him that you called. He might call you later though.
Me: Ok.
Me: I better go. I've had a long day. Oh and I have a pic with Robert...
Sadie: See you Schnapple! Send us the pic of you and Robert!
Gaten: See you later dude.
Caleb: You'll get the role! I bet you!
Millie: See you Noah!
I hung up the phone, getting changed into my pyjamas.
After 2 hours, Finn called. We talked for at least 30 minutes before I had to go. I missed everyone in our party...but I missed Finn the most. I'm just hoping that I can go home soon. I really want the role of young Tony and I think I have a high chance. I went onto our group chat and sent the picture of me and Robert to the group. I also changed my lock screen from my friends and I to Robert and me. I put the picture of me and my friends as my background. I couldn't believe it. I met Robert Downey Jr and he knew who I was. He knew me by Stranger Things. This was definitely the day that could change my life...forever. Working with Robert would be my dream and I'm hoping that it comes true.
