Opening up

Noah had put the audition for Marvel aside since he needed to focus on other things for the moment.

Noah knew more than anyone about being vulnerable. He never felt so alone and vulnerable like this...well except when his sister was killed. Noah knew that he couldn't open up just yet. He needed to know the right time, watching as both night and day passed. He noticed that as the days went on, people forgot about the premiere debacle that caused Finn to find out that Noah had a crush on him. Noah had started talking again, very little, but still some. He would say a few words before walking back to his room and not saying anything for hours.

He walked out of his room to get some juice from the fridge downstairs, but when he got back up, he noticed a note taped to his door. He figured it was from Finn since he could recognise Finn's handwriting almost instantly. He lightly pulled the note off the door and entered his room, putting his juice on his desk as he sat down in his bean bag chair in the corner of his room. He slowly opened the note and read the words inside.

Hey Noah...
It's been a while since you've talked to me. After what happened that night, I was shocked...but I wanted to know why...why you hid your secret from me for so long? We had a promise at the beginning of filming for Stranger Things S1: "We tell each other everything"

Please talk to me. I miss talking to you Schnapple! If/when your ready...meet me at the pool out back at 7pm.

Noah giggled at the end, seeing that Finn signed the note with his forbidden nickname. He only ever called himself 'Finlard' when he knew it would cheer one of his friends up...and it always did. Noah got out a pen and wrote on the note, below Finn's name. Once he had finished writing, he grabbed some tape and placed the note on Finn's door.

Finn had just arrived home from a photoshoot when he saw what was on his door. He opened up the note right then and there, seeing that it was just his note to Noah, but he looked below.

Hey Finn...
I know it has been a while...but I'm ready to open up. I think you deserve to have all your questions answered...so...I'll see you at 7pm. It's a date (Jk)

Noah must have found Finn's little nickname funny, so that's why he ended his note with Schnapple. Finn placed the note over on his desk.

After 4 hours, 7pm had finally arrived. Finn was waiting at the pool and Noah had just walked outside.

"Hey Noah..." Finn said, moving so Noah could sit.

"Hey Finn." Noah said, fidgeting with his hands. Finn noticed that Noah was nervous so he intertwined Noah's hands with his.

"I'm ready to answer any questions you may have..." Noah said, before smiling.

"Ok...why did you hide your secret from me?" Finn asked, looking directly at Noah.

"I know we had our promise...but my secret wasn't something I could just come out and tell you. I had to talk to you when I felt ready...and that was taken away from me when Spinelli released the video for everyone to see." Noah said, beginning.

"Ok. How long have you liked me for?" Finn asked another question.

"Since...well...before we started filming Stranger Things S1...probably 2 months before." Noah admitted. He couldn't believe that he was spilling personal information to Finn in front of a pool.

"Why did Millie know before me?" Finn asked. This time...he seemed hurt.

"I didn't tell her. Millie found out before we went on our trip to New York. When she found out...she was helping me figure out a way to tell you" Noah said, this time taking off his shirt and getting into the pool. As he swam, Finn thought of his next question.

"Did anyone else know apart from Millie?" Finn's question was different. Noah swam up for a breath of air.

"No. Millie promised not to tell anyone and I'm happy that she kept her promise. I didn't want others to know unless I was ready. Besides. Even if Millie hadn't of found out, I would have told her and everyone else after I talked to you..." Noah finally admitted. Finn was kind of happy that Noah would've told people after he told Finn. At least now Noah had answered some of his many questions.
