"Eyes, look at your last! Arms, take your last embrace! And lips, O you the doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss. Come bitter product, come! Here's to my love!" said Romeo whilst drinking the dark poison.
"Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die." These were the last words uttered off his frozen lips as he collapsed in the coven besides his mate, Juliet.
The crowd began applauding as Kevin and Samara rose to their feet to take a bow. Yes, this was just a school play as this story is not about Romeo and Juliet, but about Kevin and Samara who are together now since almost three years. Long time, huh? They're called as the Golden Couple of Elmwood High and who else but them, could have played a better Romeo and Juliet?
"Stop crying Kev! I'm not dead for real", Samara whispered whilst smiling at the crowd which included the students, teachers and a few parents.
"It's glycerin, you fool!" He hissed back annoyingly. Such an adorably short couple fight, isn't it?
After they went backstage, Kevin's best friend, Shane popped up out of nowhere, "Great job guys!' he remarked.
"Dude, you need to stop doing that." Kevin replied.
"Doing what?" Shane asked blankly, having absolutely no idea about what Kevin was saying.
"Scaring the hell out of us by coming out of walls!" Shane rolled his eyes.
"Well, you guys were seriously mind boggling out there. It must not have been difficult for Kev as he's performed onstage many times but how did you do it Ms. self-conscious?" Shane asked turning towards Samara.
Now, when he used the word self-conscious for Samara, he's not at all exaggerating as Samara is even a bigger version of self-consciousness. Like, if someone stares at her for too long, she starts to pick out faults in her looks. She'd go like, I think I look too skinny, the dress doesn't suit me, my hair is so frizzy, well, you got the picture.
"What can I say, I love literature and I have always dreamt of playing Juliet!" Samara replied with a dreamy smile.
"Are you done interviewing my girl, Shane?" Kevin asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, I was here for something else anyway!" Shane beamed with excitement as he took out a mini bottle of absolut vodka. Kevin's eyes widened as he saw the bottle.
Now, when we talk about Kevin, you can picture a ten on ten guy with a bright smile on his face. He was a calm and composed personality and unlike Samara, he was very confident about himself. And why wouldn't he be? Being the drummer of the school band with cute looks, he was the heart throb of Elmwood High and being the son of a millionaire business man was just a cherry on the cake. He had everything a teenager wants in life, a crazy best friend, a wealthy and loving family and of course, a perfect love life.
"You know that I don't drink Shane, at least not unless I'm twenty-one!" Kevin said honestly. Yes, he hasn't ever had a drink in his life. After all, being rich doesn't always make a guy the so called bad boy. That would make this story a cliche and this story is everything but that.
"Come on! It's just one drink brother", Shane requested.
"Yeah Kev, it's just one drink!" Samara pleaded playfully.
After eleven pleas and twenty-one requests, Kevin finally agreed. The three of them then decided to go out of the school premises to enjoy the drink.
They walked for a few hours on the streets whilst sipping vodka from the same bottle and laughing like maniacs before finally heading home.
