"Dude it's been eleven seconds now. I thought I'd tell you after ten but then I didn't want to ruin your sweet fantasies." Shane pointed out interrupting my thoughts. I wasn't much entertained by sarcasm, it always made me a little edgy. But all of us have a sarcastic friend; but unfortunately, here Shane is my best friend.
"Eleven seconds of what?" I asked innocently shifting my gaze from Samara to him, noticing the kids getting restless in the absence of Prof. Gremlins in our class.
"Eleven seconds of you staring at Jones." He answered looking at me right in the eye.
"Okay, so here's the thing. There are three stages as you meet a girl. Firstly, I found her attractive. Then, after we had a heated up conversation, I characterised her as witty. Then, when she indirectly insulted me in English class, I felt intimidated by her. Finally, when we had a little conversation with her on her porch, I noticed the mysteriousness in her. Dude there is something in this girl that I can't let go!" I explained honestly while Shane just stared at me with a blank expression and had absolutely no idea what was I talking about.
"Okay, that was a big lecture man, summarizinng your whole thing, you're obsessed with her."
"No, I'm not! It's just that-" My explanation got cut short by the rushed entrance of Prof. Gremlins as all the students suddenly got silent and the hustle bustle just vanished like a poof!
"Morning class, I apologise for being late, I had a meeting with the Principal. So, not wasting your time anymore, turn to page 195 of your Mathematics textbook. We'll continue with Trigonometry today!"
I was relieved to hear that unlike other students who were grousing and grouching. Being an A grade student in math too, I had an habbit of completing all the topics before hand. So, doing trigonometry was a piece of cake for me. Then, I spotted Samara, who was sitting on the desk adjecent to me and was complaining about trigo to Rosalie, just like others. Maybe, that means that she isn't much fond of the subject and today I may have a chance to prove myself.
"As, we discussed the rules of the right angled triangle in the last class, we'll furthermore discuss the basic formulaes today." Prof. Gremlins declared as he started writing the formulaes on the board and explained them simultaneously.
"Yes Ms. Jones, do you have anything important to tell us?" Prof Gremlins asked, clearly annoyed by Samara, who was continuously talking and passing comments to Rosalie in class.
"No Professor." She replied quirkily.
"Would you like to derive the formulae written on the board, Ms. Jones? I'm presuming that you know so much about this topic that you weren't paying attention." He offered coolly making some of the students giggle and pass comments and Samara shook her head in response.
I could see her cheeks getting as red as a cherry from embarrassment and her eyes got watery. That was the moment I realised something and that realisation suddenly made me do something unbelievable.
"Professor? I'm really sorry to interrupt, but Ms. Jones is a new student here, she just came here last Friday and had no idea what happened in the previous class. So, she was asking Ms. Hale for her notes to understand the topic better."
"And how do you know that Mr. Rockfield." He countered.
What on earth made me do this?
Don't take me wrong Professor, I wasn't eavesdropping, but Samara's words were too loud and clear to ignore."
My words made Samara widen her eyes in shock, but she wasn't the only one having a hard time believe what I just did, but half of the class was glaring at me in shock as if I had taken a bullet to save a white tiger! I couldn't blame them, saying something in front of Prof. Gremlins was even worse than that.
