She was crashed into reality from the delicate glass of her sleep with the animal like vibration of her cellphone. She carelessly answered the call without noticing the caller.

"Yes?" She asked annoyingly.

"Morning! What's up?" She felt so special after realising that it was Kevin as his velvety voice cooed in her ear.

"Just woke up, what's up with you?" She replied excitedly but her mind doodled on the reason for his call as he never used to call this early.

"I know what you're thinking. I called you up because I wanted your voice to be the first thing I hear today and also I knew that you'll never wake up with that stupid-alarm-clock-which-actually-does-work", he teased.

"You know what, I can't repay you for your sweetness in a century", she replied

"Shut up cheesy queen. Just go and get ready. I'll see you at school."

After getting ready, she hurried towards the kitchen. Today wasn't like any other day because she actually had time for breakfast even after spending a considerable amount of time on getting ready. Afterall, today was a special day.

"Morning sweety!", Her mom greeted her with a huge smile as she helped myself with a big serving of mac 'n' cheese. It was one of her favourites.

"Morning mom! Where's Dad?", she asked stuffing her mouth with a spoonful of pasta.

"Oh, I don't know! When I woke up, he wasn't there. " She replied in an I-don't-care tone.

"Oh-kay", she said stressing on the oh while guessing the fact that they must've been fighting again. This somewhat made her upset as her mom didn't even notice her dressy attire today; this was so not normal. Maybe she needs sometime for herself, Samara thought while stuffing the rest of the dish in her mouth.

"Bye mom, I've got to go. I'll be late today, I've plans for the evening. Love you!" She called our before leaving but her mom just stared at the wall the expression lessly.

Rosalie parked her Porsche at her usual spot as they reached school. Samara's stomach churned when she thought thought of the surprises Kevin must be having in store for her. "So, what are you guys doing today?" Rosalie asked smiling brightly, exposing her recently whitened perfect teeth and little dimples on her smooth rasberry blushed up cheeks which were contrasted by her mesmerizing blue eyes.

"Yeah, we're going to Le Dîner after school."

"Wow! What a great idea for your third anniversary." Rosalie exclaimed taking out her Chanel lipstick from her brand new turquoise Ted Baker's bag. Her dad could afford anything being the second richest person in Elmwood.

"Yeah it was Kevin's idea." Samara replied with a broad smile.

"You know he really has changed since--" Rosalie's cellphone tinkled before she could complete but Samara knew that she was talking about Kevin's past behavior with her. "Oh! It's a text from Austin." She muttered replying to the text.

"Is he fine now?", Samara asked concerningly.

"We're not talking about him right now. It's your third anniversary for god sake, stop worrying!" If Samara would have been paid for worrying, she'd be a millionaire by now.

"Okay." she agreed for the moment, though she had accepted the fact that her past wouldn't stop haunting her.

They entered the hallway and reached their lockers. Samara took out her Math textbook unwillingly whilst Rosalie took out her Home Science notes for their first respective class. "See you after class!" Samara stated out in a low voice. Her hatred for maths was undefined.
