I drove Heidi and I to Chris's party. I wasn't planning on drinking tonight. I was just here so Chris would stop asking. We got to Chris's house and out of the car. We could hear the music from the footpath and I stood beside Heidi.H- "ready?"
Y/n- "yeah"
H- "I noticed you didn't need an address to get here"I internally facepalmed.
Y/n- "yeah because I ran passed here the other day and he was out the front"
H- "oh I see"She smiled and I shook my head.
Y/n- "come on. The quicker we go in the quicker we can leave"
H- "okay okay"We linked arms and walked up to the porch, we walked inside and straight away there was people dancing, drinking. Ya know, your normal teenage party. We walked in further and instantly Heidi started shaking my arm and pointing.
H- "look. There's Tyler!"
Y/n- "why don't you go over there and talk to him?"
H- "if I talk to him. You have to talk to Chris"She smiled. I rolled my eyes.
Y/n- "I'm sure he'll come and annoy me at some stage, so I will be eventually"
H- "that's close enouh. I think I'm gonna get a drink first"We went into the kitchen and I seen Tristan and Chris were versing each other in beer pong in the dinning room.
C- "y/n! Hey!"
He waved at me. Before throwing the last ping pong ball into the cup. Winning the game. Everyone cheered and he came over to me.
C- "you want a drink?"
Y/n- "um I can't. I'm driving and I have a race tomorrow"
C- "ah responsible. I like that. You wanna dance?"
Y/n- "with you? N-"
H- "she'd love too"I looked at Heidi with a death stare. She smiled before walking off. Chris held his hand out with a big smile on his face. I rolled my eyes, grabbing his hand as we walked over to a clear enough space for the both of us to dance in.
C- "so where's your friend?"
Y/n- "probably off flirting with your friends Tyler"
C- "she likes him?"
Y/n- "oh god, I didn't tell you that okay?"
C- "don't worry. Your secrets are safe with me"His words felt comforting. I still don't fully trust the schools biggest player. How could I? His reputation definetly exceeds him. It's hard not to judge him based off what everyone says. As Chris danced along with me, I couldn't help but notice, how different he was around me. Especially when his friends weren't around.
C- "so when's your race?"
His question threw me off. I was so caught up in my thoughts. And I didn't know he took any notice of what I say.
Y/n- "Wednesday. 4pm"
C- "I'll be there. At school?"
Y/n- "yes"
C- "I'll be happy to come and watch my girl win"I rolled my eyes. Although I could feel a smile creeping on my lips.
C- "at least I got you to smile. Glad to know I'm getting somewhere"
Y/n- "what do you mean?"I looked at him confused.
C- "it's obvious isn't it?"
H- "y/n! Y/n!"I heard Heidi yell from behind me. I wanted to continue my conversation with Chris but I felt Heidi's body weight fall on mine as she wrapped herself around my shoulders.
H- "I have to tell you something"
Y/n- "and we really need to get you home"She had clearly had a few drinks. She was using me to hold herself up.
Y/n- "I'm so sorry Chris. But I have got to-"
C- "no that's okay. I'm just glad you came"
Y/n- "happy birthday Chris"His smile grew bigger when I said that. Like I was the only one to tell him that all day. I walked out of the house with Heidi. Proceeding to put Heidi into the passenger's seat of my car and driving us back to my house. I called her mum to let her know Heidi was staying at my house. I couldn't return her home in this state. Heidi laid down in my bed and was asleep within an instant. I went downstairs to find the headache medication and get her some water for when she wakes up. I went upstairs and sat them down on the bedside table, before climbing into bed next to her and going to sleep.
