Ch. 6

J- "good morning girls!"

I heard before feeling Jessie's body weight dip the space in the bed between Heidi and I. Heidi and I groaned as we were awoken by my older brother.

Y/n- "can we help you?"

He laid there on his stomach with a big smile on his face. His face was in his hands and his legs were swinging behind him.

J- "how was the party?"
Y/n- "it was fine"
H- "oh my god y/n. I forgot to tell you something last night"
Y/n- "I'm shocked you remember"
H- "Tyler and I talked last night for a while anddd......."

She paused to build the anticipation. I sat up, Heidi was laying on her side facing me.

Y/n- "and?"
H- "and we kissed"
Y/n- "oh my god Heidi. Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
H- "I did try to be fair"
J- "that's nice. So y/n actually went to the party"
Y/n- "I said I would"
J- "did something happen with you and Chris?"
Y/n- "no. We danced for a while but that's it. Nothing's ever going to happen between us. He's the school player"
J- "well you never mentioned that before"
Y/n- "well he is"
J- "Well I don't want my little sister getting hurt"
H- "she will be okay"
Y/n- "enough about me. Back to you and Tyler. What's going on there?"
H- "I um I don't know. I guess we'll find out tomorrow"
Y/n- "or you could text him now"
H- "good idea"
J- "I have to get ready for work. I just wanted to know how the party went"
Y/n- "okay, I'm gonna go for a run"

Jessie left the room and I got changed into my running gear.

H- "I'm just gonna sleep a little longer"
Y/n- "okay. There's water and asprin for you over there"

I pointed to the table. She smiled at me before sinking down into the sheets and closing her eyes. I left the room. Closing the door behind me. Jessie left and mum was already gone. I put in my earphones and started running. Again, I got to that same intersection and stopped. Knowing if I went left I'd go passed Chris's house. I was considering going the other way again but found myself running left before I'd even fully decided on which way I wanted to go.
As I ran closer to Chris's house, I found myself running a little slower. I turned my music down. Hoping to hear his voice call out my name.

C- "y/n!"

There he was, standing on his veranda. Almost like he was waiting for me to run past. I stopped and he walked over to me. The only thing standing between us being the gate. Pulling my earphones out of my ears and letting them hang out of my top.

Y/n- "hey, how was your party?"
C- "yeah good. It was definitely better while you were there"

I seen his brother Bryan, stumble out of their front door.

B- "hey Chris! Since you've seen y/n, can you now go get the asprin!"

He yelled.

C- "yeah yeah I will"
Y/n- "so you did wait for me?"
C- "why did you want me to?"

Yes.

Y/n- "you can dream honey. I gotta go"
C- "yeah I should go get the stuff for the boys. I'll see you at school tomorrow. Your campaign starts tomorrow"

He took notice of that?

Y/n- "yeah, hopefully I get president"
C- "you've already got my vote"

I smiled at him, I could feel my cheeks heating up, blushing slightly.

Y/n- "bye Chris"

I said before continuing to run back home.
